DESERT ESSENCE Thoroughly Clean Face Wash Review

I have sensitive/oily skin especially in the T-zone and I breakout around my menstrual cycle usually on my forehead, checks, and chin areas.  I was told to keep my face clean with a facial cleanser and that soap along would not do and it is not good to use on the face.  I have used a number of drugstore brands such as Dove, Olay and a few more.  I also used Avon face cleanser and all of them work well as a cleanser but I wanted something natural since my skin is sensitive. I search the internet and read a few reviews and I came upon Desert Essence Thoroughly Clean Face Wash with Organic Tea Tree Oil and Awapuhi.  Here are the ingredients…

 Castile Soap, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Organic Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Hydrastis Canadensis (Goldenseal) Root Extract, Hedychium Coronarium (Awapuhi) Root Extract, Fucus Vesiculosus (Bladderwrack) Extract, Cymbopogon Martini (Palmarosa) Oil, Citrus Reticulata (Petitgrain) Leaf Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil.

I really like that it has Tea Tree oil and Awapuhi because I have read both have positive effects on the skin.

I have been using the product for over a year now and I can tell the difference in my skin.  It feels cleaner, looks healthier, and I have fewer breakouts but this does not get rid of all my acne alone.  I use an astringent and acne treatment as needed.  It is easy to use directions say moisten face with warm water and gently massage a small amount of the product in a circular motions onto cheeks, chin forehead and neck avoiding contact with eyes.  Continue for approximately one minute, and then rinse thoroughly with cool water.  Follow this procedure twice daily.  I must confess I am lazy and I only do it once a day.  The product is a golden color and the consistency is just like water.  It smells like tea tree a natural very pleasant mild scent and it does not linger long after you rinse you face.

It comes in a plastic bottle some with pump others with screw off caps or flip top depending on size.  It comes in 4oz., 8oz. and 32 oz. it might come in other sizes I do not know.  The price is pretty affordable around $3.00-$9.00.  Look around some place on the internet offer really good deals on it.  It can be purchased online or at a health food store and maybe even some drugstore.

Overall Dessert Essence Thoroughly Clean Face Wash is a good natural facial cleanser.  I would recommend it to anyone with any skin type.
