Desert Essence Organics Red Raspberry Conditioner uses all natural Shea Butter and Sunflower oils to soften my hair without any chemicals. It is all natural so it is safe for my body and hair. It has a great scent that is very pleasing to the nose. It is a little more expensive than other conditioners, but in life you get what you pay for. In this case I am paying for an all natural organic conditioner that does not contain any potential cancer causing chemicals.

I style my hair everyday, which has clearly led to some damage.  In order to heal it and keep it from getting frayed, I look for the best hydrating shampoos and conditioners.  I tried this product because of a friend's recommendation and I was truly disappointed.  First off, you have to buy it from a speciality store, which is annoying if you don't realize how low you are on the product.  Furthermore, it is also somewhat more than I would like to spend on conditioner. Despite the price, I figures that I would give it a shot. If it was amazing, maybe it would be worth it... So not worth it! The scent is overpowering and not pleasant.  It is also rather thick and not too easy to rinse out of your hair. Even after it is out, or at least it appears to be, it leaves your hair feeling kind of slimey.  However, the worst part is that the product doesn't keep your hair hydrated.  I am totally not a fan of this product.

Tried this product as a new conditioner and it did not stand up to the competition.  Works much better on thin hair like my daughters than thicker hair like mine.  Had to coat it a couple times to get the soft smooth feeling I was looking for.
