Vonage Terrible Customer Service, dlink CS-Can't get REAL person, Doesn't play well with Vista

Oh where to start.  I had a dlink router because of Vonage - for about a year.  The router conked out already.  I ordered a new pc so I bought a new dlink (only one that supports Vonage!) and hooked everything up (pc and router).

Guess what... the dlink router doesn't work on the hardwired desktop (vista).  The kids laptops worked fine, but not the desktop.

According to Dell Tech Support, Best Buy Geek Squad, and Time Warner (cable provider) dlink has issues with Vista.  Just TRY calling Vonage customer service - horrible.  Can barely understand them and they don't have a clue as to what you're talking about.  Tried calling dlink customer service - even worse.  Can't even get through to a live person.

I had to buy a different router (Netgear N MaxRange - works great and fairly inexpensive $69).  Speeds are awesome and everything connects... EXCEPT vonage.  I had to install a phone adapter behind the new router and the quality is awful.  I did a test call to my brother and he understood about every third word I said.  Not sure what the fix is but... My vonage line is basically useless now.

If anyone has a "fix" for Vonage/dlink/Vista etc. I'd be happy to hear about it! :)

D-Link, D stand for Doofus, I think! I have a Netgear router and it works great. Vonage? Always heard bad stuff about their customer service, which is why I went with Comcast, although that's a little like going with a demon instead of Satan himself!

D-Link networking gear is not the best on the market that's for sure. You might want to Google the error and see what comes up.
