D*Vine Wine, located just off the town square in Denton, Texas, offers a wide selection of great wines at extremely reasonable prices.
Tastings are generous, and the service is excellent! The staff (at least one of the owners is usually in the store all the time) is extremely knowledgeable, and very friendly. There is an ample bar (with comfortable stools to sit on), or you can relax at one of the tables. With it's casual atmosphere, D*Vine Wine is a great place to relax and enjoy a great glass of wine with friends.
If you like the sweeter wines, then you ABSOLUTELY have to try the Wildberry Shiraz or the Midnight Merlot! These are two great table wines that are very easy on your palate. For those who like their wine a little drier, the Pinot Noir is another great selection.
You can tour the winemaking facility while you visit. They're not "stomping grapes in the back"... but it's a very interesting process.
You can order bottles of any of the wines with customized labels at a very reasonable price - some friends did this for a birthday party using a childhood picture of the "birthday boy" and they were fantastic!
Unfortunately, the only "menu" item is a bowl of Goldfish crackers and M&M's - so be sure to have something on your stomach if you're dropping in for more than a single tasting.
Parking can be a bit tricky...the winery store is located on a one-way street, and it's pretty limited. Do NOT park in the phone company parking lot - they will have your car towed!
DRINK RESPONSIBLY! IF YOU DRINK, DON'T DRIVE!
ALWAYS DESIGNATE A NON-DRINKING DRIVER!
