We were really pleasantly surprised at how up-scale the Cypress Hotel was -- it really is a 5 star hotel at a very affordable price. The check-in was speedy and the staff even Googled and then printed directions Saratoga's Mountain Winery where we were seeing a concert that night. We were told there was a wine reception going on when we checked in, and after dropping our bags off in our room, the reception was lovely and we sat outside near the fountain to enjoy a glass of wine in the afternoon sun. Our room was wonderful -- very large, well appointed and comfortable. We had reserved a… read full review »

The staff made us feel very welcome. The wine reception hour was enjoyable. The parking garage was easily accessible. The decor in the front lobby ,halls and room is very tastefully done with class. The room we had was spacious. The beds were comfortable. The amenities such as the leopard bathrobes and personal touches in the bathroom, the upgraded carpeting, the bed linens and comfort of the bed, the drapes and decor in the room all gave us a warm comfortable upgraded feeling for a great price! There is no coffemaker in the room but they serve coffee in the lobby in the morning. There is an… read full review »

This was my second time staying at a Kimpton hotel. The rooms are spotless and decorated with such style, the staff is so helpful and friendly. The housekeepers do such a wonderful job cleaning and seem to always be smiling. The morning coffee is nice as well as the wine in the evening. The work out room was a little small but never crowded and open 24 hours a day. We will be staying here every time we visit relatives in the area.Dining: Short Walk, There are plenty of inexpensive Chinese restaurants a short walk away. The food is great and very authentic. —… read full review »

It isn't often that I am pleasantly surprised by the quality and value of a hotel but I have to say I was with the Cypress. As a meeting planner, I have the opportunity to stay in many hotels all over the country. The Cypress Hotel really blew me away with the excellent service, great rooms, attention to detail, and value. I highly recommend it!Dining: Short Drive, Old Town Saratoga is about a 10 minute drive from the Cypress and has great restaurants and shops. It is also in a beautiful setting nestled against the Santa Cruz mountains. —… read full review »

I travel a lot and I rarely see a hotel like this! Don't even hesitate! The rooms were awesome, whimsical, gorgeous, comfortable and a great dining area! .... and I won't tell you more...leaving a little surprise for you. Absolutely fabulous, and reasonable! Can't wait to go back! Look in the closet when you get to your room....Shopping: Short Drive, The Stanford Mall is about 10 miles away, and definitely worth seeing...great shopping ..all outdoors. of course, checking our Stanford University right next door is worth it. —… read full review »

This hotel was better that i expected. Usually I find hotels that are quite plain in decor. Not this one. The room was perfect. It had an African theme. The 'reading parlor' in the lobby is very victorian. I didn't get the chance to see the grounds (pool, etc.). Even though they have a restrurant and a armadillo willy's next door, we drove out for dinner and found dozens of well known & unique places to eat. I'm sure I'll be staying at their place(s) in the future.Dining: Short Walk, —… read full review »

Very satisfied. Arrived with a "smokey" odor room, wanted to change to another one, quick response. Called housekeeping for little things needed (ie. scissors, extra pillows, print out infos about spa, etc.), quick response. Polite staff. Certainly will be back.Dining: Short Walk, Safe to walk around area to self explore. Next to bank, fast food, etc. —… read full review »
