I had tried several products for anxiety and Cymbalta was brought up. Yes, it's usually treated for depression but it helps my anxious feelings and anxiety. It took effect quicker then most and it was a nice relaxing feeling for the first time in a long time. I was tired at first so I take it in… read full review »

I read all the review wrote on this product and just by reading them I see that Cymbalta does not work the same for everyone.  Seven years ago I was diagnosed with severe depresssion and first put on zoloft, which did nothing for me, then it was Prozact, then another one and another one, the… read full review »

cymbalta is the best I've tried for depression, mild deppression. If your depression isn't mild, this isn't for you. The effects are very subtle which iswhy I likeit. what's most important is to give it a try for long enough to know whether it's actually helping ir not. — I needed to up my dosage to o feel better. I started at 60mg, thought "well,it's a little better" we uped it to 90mg, and within 2 weeks I was feeling so much better. you just need to get the dosage right, play around with it. When I went higher than 90mg,I felt anxious..but 90mg was perfect. It's a very subtle… read full review »

I have been treated for depression and anxiety for 5 years.  I trusted my Dr. (Shrink) to find me the best solution and went with it.  I wasn't  feeling great and decided to wean my self off of serzone.  Cried for 5 weeks straight until I went to my GP (who was ready to check me in) and she recommend the cymbalta.  It has worked miracles for me. For twenty years I haven't felt like myself. LIFE has all changed.   I can only hope this drug works on others  as well as it has worked fo me!!    —… read full review »

Like many people suffering from depression and bi-polar disorder - I have gone through myriads of drugs trying to find one that made me feel normal again... — Cymbalta is that drug... — What first attracted me to the drug was its acknowledgement of the physical pain of depression...I had been talking to my doctors about this for years - but none seemed to understand... — But it has helped in other areas as well...I no longer want to hide all of the time...I enjoy getting out and doing things...honestly - I just feel normal... — Side effects can be a bear...but none any… read full review »

I was on Cymbalta primarily for nerve pain.  It did help me as far as the pain went.  I had horrible side effects like weird dreams or nightmares.  When I was titrating my doses to stop taking it, I had bad withdrawl symptoms.  I would not recommend anyone take this… read full review »

Although I was on a depression pill that was working for me, my doctor recommended I switch to Cymbalta.  I know that this medicine works well for some people, but I wouldn't take it again for a million dollars! — After a few days on the medicine, I started feeling mad a lot of the time.  I could live with that.  After about a week, I was very dizzy/lightheaded.  I told myself that it would pass.  Within about two weeks, I was a complete mental case.  I honestly thought I was going to have to check into a mental home.  I couldn't concentrate, I cried… read full review »

First of all, I started out with depression which nothing seemed to help. For years, I was switched to different depression drugs. They would help for a while, then I would go into a deep depression. It would take a lot for me to get out of it. My doctor would change me again, and again. Being a diabetic and having fibromyalgia, plus Rhuematoid Arthritis, my days consist of pain and more pain. When I was diagnosed with diabetic neuropathy, (if you don't know what it is, here is a little note about it). Your legs, feet, including all toes begin to feel like they are on fire, they hurt,… read full review »

Cymbalta has changed my life!  Before trying Cymbalta about 6 months ago I was unable to concentrate on anything because I was consumed by negative thoughts and self-loathing.  I literally filled my day with thoughts of how terrible I was, how ugly I was, how much of a loser I was, how I hadn't accomplished anything and it turned into a self fulfilling prophecy.  I cried everyday. When my doctor recommended Cymbalta I was willing to try anything if it might help even a little bit. — The first day I took Cymbalta I was a little nervous because I had never taken… read full review »

Be very cautious when using this drug. My doctor perscribed for me close to three years ago. He insisted that we give it the full 4-6 weeks to get into my system. However after only two days I was unable to get out of bed with this medication. Instead of helping with my depression it made it extremly worse. Within a week it was impossible to accomplish daily life chores or go to work. I began to pass out and had other physical symptoms like falling alseep at my desk and being unable to get out of bed in the morning (severe muscle fatigue). After 4 weeks I demanded he take me off of this… read full review »

My spouse has been using this product for over 5 years for mild depression and it was exactly what the doctor ordered. Mood was improved, negative thoughts were erased and life was (is) great.  The only negatives are the price (little prescription care- costs about $115/month) and the withdraw symptoms.  When trying to go off of it, extreme nausiousness, headaches, chills....it was like going off hard-core illegal drugs. It was too much to bare, and thus it is still being used for depression. … read full review »

I have taken prescriptions for bipolar disorder for many years..My Dr. suggested I try Cymbalta due to the fact it helps with aches and pains and I have degenerative arthritis. This sounded like a good idea until I became very unstable and had to come off Cymbalta and resume a more traditional prescription.I have never had this kind of reaction with any other bipolar drug. I do however realize everyone reacts differently.. —… read full review »

I have suffered from severe depression all my life.  I am now 60 years old and I haven't been able to take a lot of antidepressants.  Cymbalta is one I have been able to take with no reactions and it has really helped me.  If anyone has problems with antidepressants I would recommend talking to your doctor about Cymbalta.  It also helps with my mood swings.  Talk to your doctor about CYMBALTA. —… read full review »

I have been on this medicine for over a year.  It has helped me greatly with not only my depression, but also my trigeminal neuralgia pain.  I can tell if I miss a dose of it though, because I get weepy and hurt more than normal.  I haven't had any really bad reactions to this medicine, and I haven't had to increase the dosage since I started on it. … read full review »
