First of all, I started out with depression which nothing seemed to help. For years, I was switched to different depression drugs. They would help for a while, then I would go into a deep depression. It would take a lot for me to get out of it. My doctor would change me again, and again. Being a diabetic and having fibromyalgia, plus Rhuematoid Arthritis, my days consist of pain and more pain. When I was diagnosed with diabetic neuropathy, (if you don't know what it is, here is a little note about it). Your legs, feet, including all toes begin to feel like they are on fire, they hurt, they tingle, they get numb, it's a terrible feeling. My Neurologist tried many different drugs, nothing helped unless I just knocked myself out with Nurontin, a drug for inflammation. I began to have weird dreams, daydreams, etc. I had to be taken off that. For a couple of years, I just had to deal with the pain and numbness, etc. Then a drug called Cymbalta came out for depression. When I started taking it, it helped my depression right away, I could tell a big difference. I began after a few months to notice that I had not had any burning, searing, numbness, tingling from my feet or legs, that used to hurt to even walk on them if I had been on them too long(1 hr.) I told my doctor about how I thought the Cymbalta was the cause of the pain being almost gone. She remarked that she would try others with the same problem and see what happened. Everyone that takes it that have the same troubles, have reported that the legs and feet cleared up. It's a wonder drug for me. It's a little expensive, but it's worth it. If you have some of these symptoms, maybe ask your doctor about trying Cymbalta out. It has made a big difference in my life, I hope it does your's too.
