This trainer delivers with five standard courses of varying levels to choose from, plus four fitness and four interval courses. All of these variables help keep your off-season training fun and diverse. The trainer comes equipped with an easy-to-use console that tracks calories, time, distance, power, and even heart rate. This trainer also comes equipped with the NetAthlon software that has three courses (with an additional seven available via the web), and allows you to download rides, create your own, or record and duplicate past rides. In addition to the NetAthlon, CycleOps includes the Ultra Coach "Lite" software that captures rides from the trainer console, NetAthlon, or a PowerTap. You can share your off-season rides with friends via email, track cycling and personal data history, and even create graphs and reports to analyze cycling data files and history.

The Electronic Trainer+ uses the power created by the rider to run the computerized console. The console contains rechargeable batteries that allow the console to operate for short periods of time under its own power. This feature will be needed when the user wishes to download ride data to his or her personal computer. If the batteries need charging, just start pedaling and your batteries will charge automatically. When the console is plugged into the trainer resistance unit, it will automatically power up when the rider begins to pedal.

The only thing I do not like is that I often do indoor workouts during the winter, but I still ride outside at every available opportunity and disconnecting the cadence sensor, crankarm magnet, and electronic console is time consuming; not to mention replacing the rear skewer that allows the rear hub to lock into the trainer with a road skewer adds to the time needed to get the bike road ready.

Finally...an in-depth review on what I'm looking into purchasing. I'm old, fat & out-of-shape. But, I'm trying to lose weight on my bike. Winter sucks.
