Comments about Cybex Arc Trainer:
The small gym at work has a few of these. I've tried them a few times and they never really felt right. I really prefer the Precor trainers to the Arc trainers. The Arc trainers feel very unnatural to me whereas the Precor ones actually feel like you are walking or running naturally. This Arc trainer feels more like you are extending your leg out away from your body, then moving it up then directly moving it down. This is different from the more natural feeling of lifting your leg up then moving it out in front of you, then down and back towards you, as you would do if you were running. The Arc trainer makes me feel like I am wading in a pond or something. Maybe it would be more natural for someone with longer legs. My height is 5 feet 4 inches. Or the Arc trainer is designed to do exactly this. But I prefer using a Precor machine over an Arc trainer. As for the features, it has the usual stuff (distance, time, speed, etc). It seems like a good quality machine.
