I just recently purchased a set of Cutco knives and I really love them. I don't know that much about knives but I do enjoy cooking and these knives have worked wonderfully with everything I have used them on. I especially love the 'trimmer' its small size and serrated edge making slicing tricky items (like tomatoes) easy and quick. I still can't imagine how I used to cook before I got these knives. They are quite expensive but worth every penny. They are better than those expensive brands sold in stores (I used to own  a set of one of those department store brands).  They are guaranteed for life. We bought a small set of the Cutco knives several years ago, so far we have not had to sharpen them. They have been very durable, and I get into using knives.
