My first introduction to Cutco knives was thorough my granddaughter who took on one of her first jobs with them selling them at home demonstrations. I had never seen these knives and was immediately impressed with their quality and performance. This chef knife is my favorite!! I use it almost daily for chopping vegetables, slicing meats, dicing potatoes, and any other jobs that require a larger knife. I knew to be careful because it is so sharp, but still managed to catch the tip in my fingertip and was cut before I knew what had happened! I have since learned to slow down when using them keeping in mind how sharp they are. Because I use a flexible cutting board on stone counter top, I have found that my knife has begun to become dull. I phoned Cutco and they were very nice informing me that I could have a demonstrator come out to my home and sharpen my knife for no charge! Haven't had them out yet, but it's nice to know they will do that for their customers. Now the only drawback...the price! These knives are quite expensive but because they are top quality and have that lifetime sharpening, I have to admit they are worth the price! Comfort The handle fits nicely in my hand and the weight is perfect. Performance I can't think of a thing that I wouldn't and can't use this knife on.

I have owned our set of Cutco knives for about six and a half years now and they continue to work as well as when we first got them. The chefs knife, like all the others, is very sharp and cuts easily. It is noticeably more difficult for me to use other types of knives compared to how well the Cutco knives cut. Also, the lifetime guarantee can't be beat. Performance This knife works great even on the toughest jobs, such as cutting a large butternut squash in half. I can't imagine trying to use another knife for these instances. Durability After six and a half years, ours are holding up well and continue to work as if brand new. My mother in law has owned Cutco products for many more years than me and they continue to remain durable as well. Design As another reviewer mentioned, the blade is well balanced with the handle so that the knife feels secure and easy to hold and cut. The blade is very secure in the handle (I've had other knives that the blade loosens somewhat making cutting more difficult and giving you less control).

Cutco knifes have seriously saved me in a lot of ways. I was born without one of my hands and so therefore find some kitchen tasks pretty difficult, cutting produce being one of them. Thankfully Cutco knifes work really well and are super sharp so it really makes things simpler. I use this specific knife for just about anything and everything. In my opinion you don't need a big, full set of Cutco knifes (though they do have them). This knife alone is good because you can use it for everything so there's really no need for the other ones. It's just a good overall kitchen knife, it works for paring, carving, trimming, really anything. I like Cutco too because they have a lifetime warranty and when they become dull, Cutco will sharpen them for free too! Talk about good customer service. No I am not affiliated with them in anyway, ha though it sounds like it. I just genuinely really like their products.

I have been enjoying my Cutco galley knife set every day for over 15 years. They cost a bit more than other knives, but are worth every penny. They hold an edge longer than any other knives I have ever used and when they occasionally need sharpening, I send them to Cutco for free sharpening. They are the best! Comfort The handles are ergonomically designed and easy to hold. Performance The Cutco knives that I have been using for over fifteen years hold an edge longer than other knives I have used. They cut through anything I have ever tried cutting, even frozen foods. The blades are very sturdy and never bend like other run-of-the-mill knives. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to cut food with a dull kitchen knife. That never happens with the Cutco knives. Durability I have used my Cutco knives every day for over 15 years and they look almost new. I really can't say enough about how well they have held up. I have only once had to have one of my knives repaired after my daughter pried apart some frozen hotdogs and jammed the tip of the knife into the granite counter top. Needless to say, the tip bent. Cutco repaired it for free. They hold an edge exceptionally well and I have only had to send them in for free sharpening twice since I got them. Design The Cutco knives have a classic design that fits well with any kitchen scheme. I keep mine in a wooded block on my granite counter top. They are also available in a nicely designed drawer insert if you would rather keep them in a drawer.

This Cutco knife is of the highest quality. I have owned many other brands of kitchen knives and I won't continue to waste my money purchasing any others again. They feel very balanced and cut like a dream. I take my Cutco knives with me when I go to cook at my mom's house here in town. I just hate having to have a knife that just squishes the food. Comfort This knife fits well in your hand and doesn't take as much pressure to cut foods because it is so sharp. Performance I love the way they work. They have a lifetime guarantee and my Cutco representative comes by every year to sharpen them for me. Of course it also gives me an opportunity to check out other knives and add to my set. Durability It is dishwasher safe and mine have lasted many years. I don't feel you can go wrong purchasing these quality knives. They do cost more, but I don't have to replace them every year or so. Design I also prefer the smaller chef knife instead of the larger one that is pictured. the size seems perfect for most jobs. I love how well they keep sharp. My favorite knives ever!

This is one of the best knives I have ever purchased and used! It cuts right through anything, over and over again! Cleanly through a tomato and all crusty breads with soft centers without squishing them and swiftly through potatoes and carrots without any effort and all the elbow grease. One of the very best things about cutco is, if ever the knives you buy from them are ever damaged (the tip breaks) it is guaranteed but Cutco. They will also sharpen them for you if you mail them back and request it! I have had my Chef's knife for months now and use it ALL of the time. I never cease to be amazed at the quality of this knife! I use it for every meal I cook. The steel goes all of the way through the handle, so it is much stronger than a lot of other knives. They keep their promise of sharpening all of the knives for life and believe me, you will be happy you invested in this chef's knife for life!

Purchased a few Cutco knives back in the 80's because a friends grandson was selling them and I felt obligated. The good news, if you like to put knives in the dishwasher, these can go in. Other than that, these knives are just ok and totally overpriced in my opinion. I have them and won't throw them away because I spent so much on them....but really....I never use them because I have other knives that I prefer. My other knives cut much better than these. Don't ever feel obligated to spend money because someone else is going to make money....how stupid was I!!! Comfort Would not call these comfortable, would not call them uncomfortable. Performance For the price, these are not very good at all. Durability As I stated, you can put them in the dishwasher...but I don't because I never use them. Design Unimpressed. Again, foolishly purchased out of obligation. Crazy cost, wasted money to help out a friends grandkid. Dumb.

My mother in law decided to get a new set of knives and was going on and on about Cutco. I thought that perhaps she had fallen for some sales pitch until I had to stay at her home for a long extended period of time. This resulted in my having to use her entire set of Cutco knives for several months daily. I have to say that I was impressed. Comfort The knives themselves were very sharp, but I was not completely sold on the handle design. Although it was okay, I found that the grip was not entirely comfortable for my hand to use. My hands tended to slip just a little bit when wet, and the grip was not a perfect fit for my hands. However, the knife was not as bad as some of them that I have used as far as comfort goes. Performance These are some sharp knives! They stay sharp and cut through things beautifully and almost effortlessly. I found that I liked almost every knife in the set as long as they were used with the right things. It made food preparation easy and a pleasure. Durability Those Cutco knives have lasted quite a few years and have stayed sharp and with great performance each and every year. Although they came with a good warranty, she never had to make a claim. I used them every year since they were new and they still performed quite well. Design I still am not fond of the handle design as I didn't really feel that the handles were a perfect fit for my hands. This did lead to some struggles at times with some of the knives, but they were a decent balance and great cutting. I only wish that the handles were easier for me to hold. I like my Henckles Professional knives better for the handle size better. However, I do not hesitate to use the Cutco knives every chance I get.

 Cutco Chief  knifes come with a lifetime guarantee, if it ever breaks, Cutco will replace it! I have had a Cutco Chief knife for 18 years and it is still as  sharp and shiny  as it was the day I received it. I know if I break it,  Cutco will replace it. Cutco stands behind what they say too.  The materials  Cutco Chief knives are made of don't rust or corrode. A simple washing, and drying and it looks like brand new again.  It keeps the sharp edge. It is a pretty expensive knife, but it is the only chief knife you will ever need to buy in your lifetime, so that makes it pretty reasonable! That is because as long as you have the knife if anything goes wrong with it, Cutco will replace it!  What other knife company can or would do that?  Cutco chief knives make a wonderful gift to anyone who appreciates fine cutlery. I would recommend the Cutco Chief knife to anyone who wants a sharp and beautiful knife!

I actually grew up with a set of Cutco knives. In fact, my parents still have them and they still work well. So, I was thrilled to get a set of my own shortly before I married. Of all the wonderful Cutco knives we own, my absolute favorite is my Cutco Chef's Knife. It is an unserated blade on a wonderfully balanced handle. The blade actually runs completely through the handle, so you should never have to worry about the blade breaking off at the top of the handle. It is also secured in such a way that you should never have to worry about it completely coming out of the handle. In other words, the blade is very secure. This knife is large and can be a little intimidating at first. It is extremely sharp and is great for chopping vegetables and such. Though initially intimidating, I now find that I am much more uncomfortable using smaller, duller knives since struggling to get them to cut can cause harm more easily than cutting something with a very sharp knife. The handles come in black or white. Both have a kind of marbled look to them. I really like that all of their knives come with cardboard sheaths so if you want to put them in the drawer you can without worrying you'll cut yourself the next time you go digging around. The obvious downside to Cutco is their price, but for the best (and only) cutlery you will ever own, it's worth it. Plus, the company really backs their products. I use this wonderful knife nearly every day!
