There are so many things you can add to your motorcycle but none quite as practical as a luggage rack. There are many styles and sizes to choose from but you are however limited by the type of passenger backrest system you have installed. This was my dilemma on my recent purchase of my luggage rack.

Custom World International Luggage Rack 05-2622

After searching through their catalog and being limited to only those made for my backrest I picked out a nice 9"x9" luggage rack with an Eagle on it. This is not a large rack but will do the job I need it to do and doesn't look bulky on the back of my bike. It is a nice looking piece and does add a bit of bling to Lil' Blue, plus it is functional as well and that's what counts!

I am in the process of getting a backrest bag that will sit nicely on this luggage rack and hold plenty for my trip to Indiana later this summer. Around town I will have enough capacity to enable me to bring home some shopping items on Lil' Blue as well.

Installation was quick and simple by only having to remove 4 nuts and 3 bolts, then slipping the luggage rack in place. In fact I put it on right in the dealers parking lot in less than 5 minutes, including taking off and reinstalling my Bikers Friend Saddlebag Backrest.

Bottom Line

I saved about 20 pounds when I replaced my stock exhaust with my Cobra slip on pipes and now I find myself adding more stuff but I am adding things that will allow me to safely carry packages, luggage and such so it is okay....lol

Custom World International is an up and coming company located in Canada that is providing yet another option for the motorcycle enthusiast who loves adding not only functionality but also some nice shiny chrome for that Bling Factor we all love!

Sounds cool. With gas prices shooting higher, I might have to consider a motorcycle myself. Heck, maybe even a Vespa! :-o

It should do the trick and it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb...;)

I have never heard of a luggage rack for a bike. Man, you don't need a car at all. Except that rain is kind of...wet. lol.

That sounds like a good rack. ;>
