I had been taking this product for a few years but it has developed an unpleasant smell and taste. I'm very disappointed and puzzled by this recent situation with Culturelle.

After 2 months of prolonged sickness, my physician recommended a probiotic supplement. Culturelle is the brand that my pharmacist directed me to use. I was very satisfied with its performance. The capsules are small, smooth, and easy to swallow. The price was a little high, as with most similar products. However, I have found that Culturelle has frequent promotions with drug stores when I can get the product for free or just for pennies. It does really help keep the digestive system balanced and contributes to regularity. It is convenient, quick and easy to take. There is no foul smell or taste with Culturelle as with some other probiotics. I have tried several brands, and I can't say that these probiotics worked any differently than others. But for the reasons mentioned above, it is one of my favorite brands. It is a product that I will continue to use and recommend, and you will not be disappointed in it.

My son's pediatrician recently recommended for him to begin taking culturelle one time daily. He was having severe diarrhea multiple times a day and had been experiencing stomach pain for over a month. After three days taking culturelle, all of his symptoms stopped! He is two, and I simply open the capsule and add it to his morning cup of milk. There is no odd taste and he has been much happier since he began taking this product. From what I understand, this product helps with digestive issues as well as immunity. He has not been using the product long enough to know how it will help with immunity, but I can say that I saw an extreme improvement in his digestive health after only two doses. Now that he has been taking culturelle for only a week, he is much happier, has normal bowel movements, and less gas. I will continue to use this product and would recommend it for anyone with digestive issues.

If you have stomach issues and digestive issues and it is not due to Celiac or even gluten sensitivity this might help. This is a great product to help make you regular and it is just easier than having to eat yogurt or kefir everyday. If you are dairy sensitive or lactose intolerant this a wonderful alternative. I have been taking 2 probiotic pills every day for a few years and feel so much better. I feel healthier, no more bloated feeling and I have had regular bowel activity. I also have found that if you do not want to take them every day they are a wonderful way to add the good bacteria to your intestines after a cleanse, after a bout with the flu, stomach virus or any other kind of illness that has caused days of diarrhea. It is also good to use to get a cleanse going or to help if your a bit constipated by taking a few pills each day until the results you want are successful. Adding this to your regular supplement regime is smart , especially for women. It will keep you feeling great.

If you are suffering from irritable bowel syndrome or any other digestive issues this product is for you, please, please take it, it totally works. I suffer from irritable bowel syndrome and did not know what to do until I stumbled across this over the counter medicine. I used to be so bloated and gassy I could not be around people it was totally embarrassing and very very painful plus I had to defaecate constantly. This was like a miracle for me! I used to be actually afraid of eating. Now I seem to be able to eat almost anything without to much consequence. Culturelle Probiotic also boosts your immune system so I do not get very many colds or virus type things anymore I used to have quit allot of colds and things going on, not anymore**.** It is expensive but it is so worth it!!!!! You can sometimes get good deals on-line for it. I manage to get them for 13.99 on-line and there are 30 pills in a box enough for a month, not bad**!**

I got a parasite while abroad in August and I also ate something bad after I was already sick with the parasite : /.  The result was upper GI (nonstop severe acid reflux) from what I ate and lower GI issues from the parasite.  This all resulted in not being able to eat anything more than pasta, potatoes, rice, bread, and unseasoned fish or chicken.  I could not even eat fruits or vegetables!!  Dairy gave me the pain of my life and even soymilk had me in lots of pain.  I went two months like this with very little improvement beyond an eventual decrease in frequency of "events" after the first month.  I was forced to keep the same unhealthy diet for two months because a bite of anything else set me right back at square one and squandered the little recovery I had achieved thus far. After just 1 week of taking Culturelle, I noticed a difference.  After two weeks, I was amazed at what I was able to eat.  Here I am at three weeks and I have been drinking regular milk all week with no problems and I can even eat some spicy foods.  I can eat almost anything, besides really sour foods because of my irritated esophagus from months of acid reflux.   This product was truly a godsend and beyond the bubbliness that comes as your body adjusts in the first couple days (I had a severe case, other people may not notice any initial discomfort), there were ZERO side effects!  This sickness had me taking drugs that literally made me fear for my life and gave me minimal results over the span of months, and this product gave me results in a week with no side effects!  It's an easy choice!   On top of that, I always get sick during seasonal changes due to the stress I put on my body during final exams and the stress of seasonal change on the body, but thanks to Culturelle, I would feel a little sniffle, but nothing more.  I will be taking this during season changes from now on!  SO worth every penny!!

Culturelle saved me from fate worse that death, thank you! After being subjected to C-diff which to me was "a fate worse than death", Culturelle was there to get me through this dreadfull desease. Doctor recommended, it works to get you back together!

I have had horrible issues with IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) and acid reflux disease. After I went into the hospital last January it got so bad that I have been missing a lot of work. I found I couldn't eat anything without it upsetting my stomach.  My friends kept trying to get me to eat Activia yogurt, but I am lactose intolerant. I was living on zegerid and pepto bismol. I always had a bloated stomach and felt miserable all of the time. I even started on anxiety/depression medication as my dr. thought it might help my symptoms. One day I saw the commercial for Culturelle and decided to try it.The Culturelle did not upset my stomach and within a few days I could tell it was working. The lower back pressure when I have an IBS flare up coming on has not been present and my bathroom habits have been regular.So far after only about a week and a half I am definitely seeing improvement in both my IBS and my acid reflux disease. It is a little pricy but in my opinion worth every penny.

Culturelle is an effective prevention of yeast infection while taking antibiotics.  I do not like yogurt and it does not provide large amounts of lactobaccillus for preventing yeast to grow.  My doctor mentioned that Culturelle was a great way to get the amount of lactobacillus needed for a healthy gut.  When I am taking antibiotics, I also take Culturelle to prevent yeast.  My husband has trouble with his digestion (diarrhea, gas, bloating) but since taking Culturelle daily he has had a decrease in symptoms.  I don't have to remind him to take it anymore, because he even recognizes the positive effect Culturelle has on his system. When my children are on antibiotics, I can open a capsule and sprinkle it on applesauce or some other favorite food rather than having to force feed yogurt.  Their pediatrician recommended it. I would highly recommend anyone with constipation, diarrhea, gassiness or bloating to take Culturelle daily to help promote good health.
