I've had the Cuisinart single waffle maker for a few years now. It was a house-warming gift that I didn't expect to get a whole lot of use for. Boy was I wrong about that. I have found myself eating more waffles over the past couple years than I have the rest of my life. The main down-side to this appliance is that it only allows you to make one waffle at a time, so if you have a really big family you are making waffles or breakfast for, this would not be practical for you. I am usually making waffles for one or two, so it works out fine. I will say, if you do not eat the waffles right away, they tend to get soggy quickly. However, that could in part be because of the waffle batter I make....who knows. The Cuisinart waffle maker has a ready light that turns from red to green, alerting you that your waffle is ready. Also, you can adjust it from light to dark. I find that even the lightest setting gives the waffles a good amount of color.
