Great blender, better if you can get it on sale though

Well, it is not a vitamix, but considering the price I paid for it, $70, it is a good blender.  It does every job well and has not yet broken down.  I find it to be a lot better than cheaper blenders that don't have the 600 watts which the is least amount of power, I think, to crush ice and make smoothies, frappes and cocktails. 

The only problem I have with it is that when I make smoothes, although the drink comes out well blended, both the fruit peices and ice pieces are a bit course, but still a good smoothie. 

Also, I think that cuisinart blenders in general are very reliable.  I've had another one before this one that lasted me 10 years before I sold it in a garage sale.
