Cuisinart has a great mini processor for my kitchen.,

I really love this smaller appliance especially when I am making smaller quantities of a food product. It has a great 4 cup capacity that fits well in my recipes, processes without any effort and cleans up as well as any other processor. I also love the ability to add liquid through the hole in the top of the lid making adjustments a snap. I bought this over 2 years ago and wish I had done so earlier. It makes processing bean puree so easy. Power This little appliance whips right through anything I put in it without any effort. It is very quick and gets the job done withoug a fuss. Safety It will not run unless the lid is on and it's in a locked position so I feel it's truly a safe appliance. The blads are sharp but that is to be expected. Ease of Assembly Snap or twist the top in place, plug it in and you are ready to go! Ease of Cleaning I use the sink and its easy to clean with hot soap and water. I let it air dry to get all the moisture I miss out. Durability So far, so good. I don't have any issues with it at this point and I have given it an amazing workout. The only thing I wish it had was MAYBE a larger top.

Perfect for apartment or first kitchen!

This was the first food processor I ever bought, and I really lucked out by making a great decision! This Cuisinart Mini Prep Plus 4-Cup Food Processor is the perfect choice for anyone with a small kitchen (like people living in an apartment), or someone wanting their first food processor. This thing is relatively cheap considering that it really does get the job done and it is very durable. I had mine all through college and some years after, so all in all about 6 years and I never had any problems or had anything break. It is only 4 cups, but for someone starting out and/or living alone, it really is all you are going to need. The removable parts pop right into the dishwasher, and the base can be easily wiped down when dirty, so cleanup is a breeze. It reassembles just as easily. Even though I've moved up to a larger, nicer model and a larger kitchen, I still have this thing tucked away for smaller meals.

Nice Change

I got tired of having the drag out the large food processor when I'm only cooking for two. Based on a recommendation of a friend, and my prior good experiences with Cuisinart products, I purchased the Cuisinart Mini Prep Plus 4 Cup Food Processor. During the few weeks I've had the processor, I've used it so shred zucchini for a casserole, as well as carrots and onions. It's been easy to use and easy to clean up. I have a pretty small apartment kitchen, and really, the best thing about this is that it is small enough for me to store in the cabinet and take down when needed. Last week I decided to make a pesto in it. The size was a great advantage, as I wasn't preparing a gallon of the stuff, but just a small amount. I used the chopping feature and that worked out well. I find that it's easy to put together which wasn't always the case with my larger model. It has a good amount of power for a little machine. Have never had a problem getting any job done.

A Small Kitchen's Best Friend

Living in an apartment, I do not necessarily have the most space in the kitchen, from a lack of counter space for food prep to a lack of storage and cabinet space to store my smaller kitchen appliances. The Cuisinart Mini Prep Plus 4-Cup Food Processor not only tucks away easily in the cabinets, but is a perfect size for the average meal size I make. Power I have yet to find something that my Cuisinart Mini Prep Food Processor can't take on. From smoothies to salad dressings and marinades, I have been able to expand my cooking styles by adding this amazing kitchen appliance to my inadequate kitchen. Safety One of my favorite features of the Cuisinart Mini Prep Plus 4-Cup Food Processor is that the blades stay locked in place while pouring. I no longer have to worry about the blade sliding off and slicing my hand as I pour out a puree. Ease of Cleaning The Cuisinart Mini Prep Plus 4-Cup Food Processor is dishwasher safe. Cleaning could not be any easier.

Packs a Punch

5

My family has bought four food processors in the past year and this one has been the only one to stand up to the challenge. Power For such a small machine it definitely packs a Punch. Our other processors could not handle chopping cabbage, but the Cuisinart processor has no problem chopping it up. We have chopped, puree, kneaded, and ground any and everything you could think of in the machine and it did it all with ease. Safety I love the safety features. If the lid is not clicked into place the machine will not turn on. Ease of Assembly It's fairly easy to assemble, but not so easy children could put it together. The lid is a little hard to click into place the first few times you use the machine. Ease of Cleaning The only thing I worry about is the handle on the lid. It's just a thin piece of plastic and it looks as if it could break easily in the dishwasher. Durability This machine has lasted two months of multiple times a day use already. We have not had a single problem or concern up to this point.

Small Size, Big Power!

5

I am very fond of cooking and have a lot of appliances in my kitchen. I received the Cuisinart Mini Prep Plus 4-Cup Food Processor as a gift from my sister and I absolutely love it. This Processor is very small and compact. I have two other Food Processors in my kitchen but they are big and bulky. So I don't really use them when I am working with smaller or lesser ingredients! The Cuisinart Mini Prep Plus 4-Cup Food Processor is PERFECT for such occasions. It is small, compact and powerful! I use it very often and find myself using it more frequently, thanks to its size. Even though the processor is small in size, it still has a powerful motor. I really like the Touch-pad controls, they are very easy to use and lend a modern and trendy look to the processor. Also, the processor has dishwasher-safe parts which make clean up very easy. It also comes with a custom spatula and instruction book with recipes included. I highly recommend this processor for everyday use in the Kitchen.

Great for Small Jobs!

I have had this mini 4-cup food processor for about a year and a half, and I keep finding more and more reasons to love it. I have always wanted a food processor, but never really knew for sure a.) what I would use it for, and b.) where I would find room for it in my kitchen. This is a great starter food-processor for someone who doesn't want to drop a ton of money on the real deal, but still wants to benefit from the convenience of all the wonderful things a food-processor has to offer. I have been making more and more recipes that require certain things to be mixed/blended/chopped in the food processor. Before I had this baby, I would make do (as much as possible) by just using my blender. This is SO much different than a blender. This can easily mix/chop/grind dry ingredients, which is something that a blender totally struggles to do. I recently realized that this thing will also chop, mince, etc all sorts of vegetables, saving LOADS of prep time when making a meal. The blade is super sharp - so beware of that - but that's what makes this mini so powerful. Overall, I love it. I am now hooked on the world of food-processing, and probably would like to upgrade to a full-size in the future now that I have experienced all the exciting things this mini can do!

Mini sized but with a powerful punch.

When I was living at my mother-in-laws for a few months and my kitchen was packed away, this was one of the few kitchen items I brought with me. I love to cook but am not great at fine chopping so this is one tool I won't cook without! Power Tons of power! I like to switch back and forth between the two buttons for the texture of chop that I like. You have to be careful to not accidentally chop things too fine and turn everything to a liquid. Safety When taking the machine to wash, be careful to not get cut on the very sharp blade. Ease of Assembly This is what I love most about this chopper. It is small and easy to reach and use everyday. It takes seconds to take apart and throw in the dishwasher or just soapy water. This is not one of those huge processors that requires more effort than it is worth. Ease of Cleaning Very simple to take apart and either wash in the dishwasher or soapy water. Be careful to not get cut on the sharp blade. Durability This is my second one. I used the first one for at least 10 years and just got a new one because the plastic piece that holds the blade was starting to crack and Christmas was around the corner. I have chopped everything from onions to coffee beans to nuts for baking.

Perfect size, perfect results

I am absolutely in love with my mini. It does all of the same prep of a larger food processor but eats up way less storage and counter space. I can make a pie crust, hummus, or pesto in just a few minutes and clean up is so much faster than the larger models. I lived in another country and literally brought this back with me, in my suitcase, because I just couldn't imagine my kitchen without it. I also love that all three components can be easily tossed in the dishwasher and I don't have to do a load of dishes simply to clean my food processor. Maybe I don't cook enough "large" recipe items but I can get meals, appetizers, even smoothies out of this guy. I'm considering getting rid of the larger unit I own simply because it frees up storage space and I can still accomplish all of my cooking needs. Power Easily as powerful as the larger models. Safety As safe as a food processor can be. Probably not for use by children but the lid clicks very securely into place. Ease of Assembly I find this unit to be much easier than a larger model to assemble. The mixing bowl holds the drop in blade and the plastic lid clips into place over that. Very fast. Ease of Cleaning My only caveat is the occasional challenge of cleaning the plastic tube in the middle of the mixing bowl. If oils or other substances collect there, it can be a challenge to clean out. Durability I have used mine for 3 plus years, in multiple countries, easily on a weekly basis. It goes in the dishwasher and does everything from dough to fruit to nuts and I have never noted the blades getting dull.

Handy little devil!

Doesn't hold a great deal, but does a reliable job chopping and grinding small tasks. It is very handy for, say, dicing an onion or chopping a small amount of canned tomatoes. Or grinding nuts. It cannot substitute for a regular-size food processor, but it does great with jobs that would be too small for a big machine. It also does well with making pesto in relatively small amounts. It's durable and clicks into position pretty easily. I've had two of these over the years and have had no problems at all. Power For a small machine, it has a lot of oomph. It works quickly and does well with chopping/grinding/pureeing small amounts in just a few seconds. Safety It works as it is supposed to, so no problems here. Obviously, the blade is sharp, so don't stick your hand in there! Ease of Assembly Parts click into place easily. Ease of Cleaning Cleans up very easily in the dishwasher. Durability Stands up to heavy jobs. A rugged and reliable machine.
