    a little too soft at first, small capacity, the tub takes 24 hours to freeze

CuisinArt Ice Cream Maker - ICE 20 — 

I have had this ice cream maker for about four years and it works well.  There is a round bowl that is kept in the freezer until you want to use it to make ice cream.  It's easy to use and simple to clean.  The major complaint I have is that the ice cream isn't frozen hard enough and it must be put back into the freezer to finish hardening before it is able to be eaten.  The other drawback is that the bowl must be kept in the freezer or placed in the freezer 24-hours before you want to use it again.  Freezer space is minimal and the bowl takes up a lot of it.
