Perfect for making ice cream or frozen yogurt, this Cuisinart ICE-30BC machine is a dream to operate. This machine has a stainless steel modern finish, but even better than how it looks is how easy it is to operate and clean up. Best of all, the ice cream it creates is better than any I have ever purchased in a store.

With a little imagination and some unusual ingredients, you can make ice cream as good as any gelatto you will find in Italy. I've also made sorbet and frozen yogurt. I use recipes from Epicurious.com or other cooking sites, but once you have the basic ingredients down, the real fun comes into play. Adding liqueurs, fresh fruit, nuts, and candy all help to create flavors you could never find at the grocery store.

The key to getting great quality ice cream or other frozen treats is to make sure that the core (which you store in your freezer) is cold enough. The first time out, my ice cream turned out a little on the thin side because I had not let the core freeze thoroughly, but that is the only mishap I have had in all the times I have used the product.
