Cuisinart ICE-20 Automatic Frozen Yogurt 1.5 Quart Ice Cream Maker Review

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my husband, who had a job making ice cream while he was in college. I think I end up making most of the ice cream around here though.

This machine is priced very affordably and I've actually been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ice cream it makes, and it really couldn't be easier to use. I just put the bowl back into the freezer after each batch, and it's cold and ready to go the next time we want to make some. The bowl needs about 24-36 hours in the freezer before it's ready to use.

It makes 1 1/2 quarts at a time, which is perfect for us. It's easy to clean too. I think this model is very reasonably priced, and it's still going strong after 4 years of use (we probably use it about once a month). 

The only drawbacks to this model would be the inability to make more than one batch at a time; the freezer bowl doesn't stay cold enough to make two batches back to back, but does require less freezing time if you stick it right back in the freezer right after you've made a batch and washed it. It is also extremely loud. Fortunately it only has to run for 20-25 minutes a batch.

I've been very happy with this model and would purchase it again. I'm only giving it 4 stars because it's sooo loud.
