Attractive Cuisinart bean grinder is great!

Very powerful and easy to clean. Stainless steel finish matches the rest of my Cuisinart appliances. Can be used for herbs fresh or dried herbs too! Our family is extremely happy with this purchase! The price is definitely right for what you get for the money!

Great Coffee Grinder

4

This coffee grinder is used almost every single day for two pots of coffee. It is fairly loud (which, I guess a grinder is going to be) but it does the job just fine. The price is not the cheapest, but very reasonable for a grinder. It is made well and has held up to repeated use for many years. We have even used it on occasion to grind up hard nuts into flour meal. After grinding the beans, it can be a little messy to dump out the grains. Maybe it's just me, but I seem to never be able to make this a clean transition. Coffee grains wind up sprinkled outside the grinder and on the counter. You must do the pulsing - you can't turn it on and leave it - you have to stand there and pulse the button until the beans are sufficiently ground. Nothing beats the smell of fresh ground coffee though! Also, the design fits in well with most stainless steel appliances. This grinder is reliable and definitely work the purchase price.

ROBUST would not occur without this lovely daily grind.

GRIND CENTRAL? Aw C'mon -- You've got to love the name just before you create your morning or afternoon robustness. I smile every time. It's a ritual now, at the new house -- where I ordered another so the old house had the availability to keep grinding fresh coffee beans (Mine's Starbucks House Blend in the large BJ's size) wherever I was, JUST SECONDS from starting the trusty coffee pot up. Easier than easy -- Pour in. Press. Listen and smile as you've taken time to smell the coffee beans. Ahhhhh -- No way, no how can any taste approximate fresh ground beans when you compare the weak stuff that comes cans. Perhaps, as a coffee afficiando, I taste the difference more astutely (said humbly -- I just know there's no comparison to fresh-brewed from fresh beans). This little baby sits all buffed and silver right on the counter next to the coffee pot. Silver scoop nearby and other than walking to the sink for water, I have ease and superior taste to start my day. Even better to push down the simple black button while the morning sun is joining my smile at the 'sound' of anticipation. Easy to load -- though the second model has a shorter silver loading cup, holds less and doesn't pull out -- not sure if this is improvement or not. But do I love this gizmo? Oh Baby -- I can actually say I couldn't prosper without it. Thanks Cuisinart -- Thanks.

I really like the Cuisinart Grind Central Coffee Grinder!

My husband and I really like fresh ground coffee so we chose the Cuisinart Grind Central Coffee Grinder. It really works well! It does a good job grinding whatever coffee beans we put in it. We have not had any trouble with it not grinding the beans fine enough. It is also a very easy appliance to clean. I especially like that about it because I am always the one who has to clean it!. It is an easy appliance to store. We keep ours right beside the coffee maker in the cabinet garage. It is a little noisey when it is grinding; however, I don't know of a coffee grinder that isn't! We have not had any problems with our coffee grinder, and we have had it for quite a while now. I would definitely recommend this Cuisinart Coffee Grinder!

Finally a coffee grinder that will not burn your beans.

There is nothing better than freshly ground coffee beans and there is nothing worse than a coffee grinder that will result in burnt coffee beans/coffee. Cuisinart Grind Central Coffee Grinder is easy to use, easy to clean and easy to store. While shopping around for a coffee grinder I was looking for a grinder that was good looking and relatively inexpensive and the Cuisinart Grind Central Coffee Grinder met all of those requirements. I have been using the Cuisinart Grind Central Coffee Grinder for approximately six months and I have been extremely happy with my purchase. Before the Cuisinart Grind Central Coffee Grinder I purchased a cheap grinder. The cheap grinder was a complete waste of money. I would encourage everyone to spend a little more and get a better product.

Grind coffee.... AND BABY FOOD!

5

I received this coffee grinder as a wedding gift, and one day, while grinding beans, I looked at the container, and thought.... I wonder if it would puree an apple? So, I peeled an apple, threw it in, and voila-- baby food!! It grinds any bean to a perfect brewable dust. I love buying fresh beans from Starbucks, and grinding them just makes the whole house smell like fresh coffee- I love it! Clean up is a snap, too. The cup inside comes right out, and the lid is easily rinsed out. The cord is long enough to work with, but not so long that you need to wind it a million times to put it away in the cupboard. It's quiet, too. Some machines we've used make an awful racket, but this little powerhouse doesn't even wake the baby. Love it!

Great Little Grinder!

This is a great little product. It looks nice and is functional to the fullest extent it needs to be. It grinds very evenly and consistently. This grinder really produces grounds that make for the perfect cup of coffee, every single time. And of course there's the unspoken Cuisinart quality that's just a no-brainer... :)

Works Well For Me

4

I noticed that there were a lot of negative reviews for this product, but I haven't had any problem with it in the few months that I've had it. But, then again, I really don't drink that much coffee. I only have one cup every morning and I brew it using a single cup plastic drip filter. So I only have to grind my beans about once week. And so far I've been really happy with it. It grinds nicely and I really like that you can just put the plastic cap on the top to keep the coffee fresher for a few days. I think it is smart that the product can't grind without the plastic on top because I never have to worry about accidentally cutting myself when I start to grind. I am definitely not a coffee expert and this might not be the best choice for someone who has to make a lot of coffee, but it works for me!

Good enough

I purchased this grinder to grind spices as I am not a coffee consumer. As far as spices are concerned the grinder works well, but it does take some time to get the spices ground down into a fine powder. This could be an issue for some more delicate spices as the heat generated during the grinding process releases some of the essential oils in the spices, therefore reducing their shelf life after being ground. This would make this grinder ideal for coffee drinks as achieving the right grind size will be easier due to the long time it takes to make a fine powder. As always the grinder has the stainless steel outer skin but that does become an issue as the grinder becomes slight warm to the touch after prolongued use. Clean up is easy, but again due to the prolonged grind time some of the spice due tend to get stuck in places that take time to clean. In this case cleaning takes sometime otherwise the residue will create unwanted flavors in successive grinds of other spices.
