The Good:  For those of you who love freshly ground beans, the Cuisinart Grind & Brew Thermal Coffeemaker grinds your coffee beans just before brewing.   It looks nice on a counter top - black with stainless steel.   It is a really easy coffee maker to use - and cleaning isn't a hassle (most parts are dishwasher safe).  It has a timer, so you can set it to brew before you wake-up.  From my perspective, the coolest feature is that you can poor a cup of coffee while it's still brewing and the coffee will automatically stop dripping (it's called the ‘Brew Pause' feature).

The Bad:  The stainless steel carafe is like Fort Knox.  The lid is super hard to get off.  I'm guessing this is a safety feature, but it's very annoying (and I imagine it might be hard for people with arthritis, etc.).

The Ugly:  Cuisinart claims that the ‘double-wall, insulated, brushed stainless steel, thermal carafe keeps up to 10 cups of coffee hot for hours.'  From my perspective, this product barely gets the coffee hot enough for me let alone keeps it hot for hours.  The market price is $149, but you can typically find this machine on sale.  And if you can't, I'm certain there must be a better product on the market for $149.
