Great Product!

Recently received this coffee maker as a gift and I couldn't be more pleased. It's very easy to use and has a lot of great features, I especially like the flavor infuser. Would absolutely recommend this coffee maker to anyone. Especially if you enjoy freshly ground coffee! Brew Performance Fast brewing with a great flavor. Ease of Cleaning A light will come on and tell you when it needs to be cleaned and the manual has exact instructions on how to do so. It is very simple. Ease of Use It's a little complicated the first time around but if you skim the instruction manual, and just use a little common sense, it is a breeze. Design It's a little bulky but what do you expect when it has so many great features? If you have the counter space for it then you won't regret having it out because it has a very nice look to it. Durability I've had mine for almost a week and it came with a small crack on the coffee grinding lid section, but besides that I have not had any problems with it's durability yet.

Too much trouble for the reward of fresh ground.

If you absolutely have to taste freshly ground and brewed coffee and the work involved doesn't matter then this is a great coffeemaker. Brew Performance I like my coffee really strong and I couldn't put enough fresh beans in it to make a full pot that tasted right to me. But if you used the regular coffeemaker part with ground coffee it was perfect. Ease of Cleaning So many parts to take out and clean, I got to the point that I wouldn't use the grinding function. I would use a separate grinder for whole beans. Ease of Use The features are all easy to use and simple to figure out. Design It's a little larger than your average countertop coffeemaker but not too bad. Durability I broke two pots during the several years I used this coffeemaker. I often took the lid and pot apart and washed either by hand or in the dishwasher and twice the hinge on the lid broke. The coffeepot won't push the button up to allow the brewed coffee to flow into the pot without the lid being perfect. This necessitated me having to buy two other pots over the years.

Good coffee maker

This is a great coffee maker if you prefer really fresh coffee. However if you like your coffee exceptionally strong the grinder might be a little small in volume. I definitely like the adjustable temperature settings this coffee maker provides as most coffee makers tend to be a little on the too hot side for immediate drinking. Cleaning is a little more work as you need to clean the grinder/basket assembly, grinder cover and basket cover each time you grind beans. Still, a great coffee maker if you enjoy fresh ground coffee

Grind & Brew makes great coffee

I was a Bunn Coffee maker fan for years. But having recieved this coffee maker as a christmas gift,.. I am a total convert ! Key Features- Grinds Whole beans right before brewing- most flavorful coffee taste without bitterness. ( also can use PreGround coffee) Adjustable from 4-10 cups with settings to add the right amount of extra water for smoothness Easy to see water indicator on the outside of the coffeemaker Easy to disassemble, Easy to clean - only 3 parts Has a Timer to have fresh coffee in the mornings- priceless Does not internal water storage that you have to remember to fill ( alas the Bunn Fatal Flaw) Keep coffee warm for up to 4 hours,.. and you can adjust that time for automatic shutoff Only flaw is that unlike the newer model- does not have a pause feature so that you can steal a cup before the whole pot has brewed. I am sure that is necessary though because of the ' smart technology" which adds extra water to the cycle to prevent harsh bitter flavor.

I bought this coffee maker "for my husband" for Christmas last year.  We already had a coffee maker, but it was an old, ugly hand-me down and I, I mean he, really wanted to be able to grind our own beans.  I am a new found coffee fan and was always intrigued by the whole bean grinding thing,  Well we cleaned it up and got it all ready.  I ground up the beans and added all my cream and sugar (so that it barely looks like coffee) and was impressed with quality of the cup!  It's super loud, but worked like a charm.  These days, we really only use it for the pre-ground stuff, but I like being able to have the option when I'm in the mood to grind my own.  It's easy to clean, all parts can go into the dishwasher, and a snap to re-assemble.  You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure out how the programs work and I love that I can have a pot waiting for me when I wake up in the morning if I so choose!

This Cuisinart Grind and Brew coffee pot leaks water

3

I was so excited when I inherited my Cuisinart Grind and Brew 10 cup coffee maker from my dad, but ended up disappointed. First my pros: love how there is a replaceable charcoal filter for the water intake, love how easy it is to clean the coffee grinds mess, love how the coffee pot is not hot to the touch, love the programmable start, and the auto shut off. My cons: sometimes after a pot of coffee brews there is water underneath the machine (a leak of some sort?), sometimes when pouring coffee out of the pot water will pour out of the side (possibly a leak in the pot?), the coffee does not stay hot long enough, if I forget to put the lid on the coffee pot the water will not release out of the filter area so will overflow out of the top of the filter area all over the counter (don't ask me how I know...), the grinder is very loud, and lastly I don't like how I have to clean out the coffee grinder even when I don't use it because of the water droplets that collect there.

Makes a Great cup of coffee

My mother bought this coffee pot for my husband and I on a "Black Friday" sale in 2006, my husband loves the fact that he can always have a freshly ground cup of coffee.  We have used it for the past four years with out any problems and unfortunately the grinder has just gone on it.  We will be buying another Cuisinart Grind and Brew!!  Fortunately I do not have to run out and buy one right away because all I had to do was go and buy ground coffee and turn the grinder off and we are still able to use the coffee pot, which is a great plus!!  It is a lot more work to clean when using the grinder but it is worth the freshness of fresh ground coffee.  The grinder is a little loud my son calls it the jet plane so hopefully they have figured out a way to make it just a little bit quieter.  Hopefully one of the stores runs a good sale soon and we are able to pick another one up at a good price!!

Great for drip or grind/brew!

5

I love this coffeemaker! It lets you decide what option you want - drip or grind and brew. During the week, we usually just use a preground coffee for ease and convenience. But on the weekends, we really enjoy using whole bean coffee and grinding it ourselves. This coffee pot lets us choose! Some other nice features on the coffee pot are automatic shutoff. It lets you program how long you want the pot to stay on before the auto shutoff kicks in. And it beeps a few times right before it shuts off so you can turn it back on if you're still drinking coffee. Also, you can program the coffee pot to start in the morning before you get out of bed. The coffee pot can be programmed to start with either the drip or grind/brew feature. It also allows you to choose the darkness of the brew. A switch on top allows to pick light/medium/dark. The pot beeps when it finishes brewing so you know the coffee is done, but if you just  cannot wait for that morning cup of coffee, there is also a pause and pour feature!

The best I have owned yet

I was skeptical when we got the Cuisinart Automatic Grind and Brew, because small kitchen appliances often have problems working properly, in my experience, when they have multiple functions.  So far, I have been proved wrong with this appliance.  It grinds well, and in a brief amount of time.  It is easy to clean-the parts are easy to take out and re-insert as needed.  It is user-friendly for the guests at our house, when we leave them to fend for themselves for their morning coffee.  I am a coffee connoisseur, and appreciate that it does nothing to compromise the flavor of the most expensive coffees.  I program it to grind and/or brew often, and it has not failed me yet.  I have gone through many coffee makers, because they often fail me.  So far, after a few years, this one is still holding its own.  I am sure I would buy this something like ti from Cuisinart, for a wedding gift, or for anyone who needs a reliable coffee maker.

My husband is a coffee snob and loves this machine.

This coffee maker is easy to use and makes good coffee.  The adjustable grind and strength dials allows you to make the perfect coffee just for you.  It keeps it warm for 4 hours and then turns off by itself, which is very helpful in this busy life we have.  The programmable turn on feature is also helpful.  Set it up, go to bed and you have hot coffee in the morning!  I would recommend this coffeemaker to my friends.
