Cuisinart Cuisinart 6-Slice Traditional Waffle Iron —

 Cuisinart 6-Slice Traditional Waffle Iron

I like to consider myself a foodie and do enjoy making, eating and creating all kinds of meals for my family. I love using gadgets like grills, mixers and waffle irons. We got this one as a gift and I've loved it from the start.

The Cuisinart 6-Slice Waffle Iron is easy to use as long as you follow directions and prep the non stick surface properly, it's best to brush on some butter all around into the crevices rather than letting a chunk of butter just melt in one spot. This helps the waffle mixture spread better and release easier without leaving any behind. also, don't overload the wells as you will be in a drippy mess and only have to clean it up as you go, not fun!

The great thing about this is Instead of making one or two waffles at a time you get six so you don't spend half your time cooking them while your family sits and eats them.  The scent of freshly baked waffles is so enticing on a lazy Sunday morning that they're impossible to resist.

On to the stats: The housing is sturdy and good looking made of brushed stainless steel, it has a six-setting knob-style browning control so you can make your waffles as light or dark as you want, the side handles /grips  stay cool to the touch making it easy to transport around if necessary, there's a red power indicator light and a green ready-to-bake / ready-to -eat light, it also has a beep tone when waffles are done just in case you need an audible reminder when not in front of it.

It also comes with a recipe-instruction book which is very helpful and the cord wraps up nicely out of sight. It came with a 3 year limited  manufacturer's warranty. Approximate measurements are 14-1/8" x 11-3/8" x 5-1/2".

As this was a gift I'm not positive of the exact price paid but I've seen them online at about $80.- $100. dollars. A bit expensive but I justify it by saving money not buying frozen waffles so it kinda pays for itself. A hot fresh waffle trumps  the frozen cardboard kind any day, but that just my opinion.
