Cuisinart CPT-120 Cast Metal 2-Slice Toaster Review

A toaster is one of those things that I absolutely must have in a kitchen, they are so versatile and I can quickly throw together something from a snack to a sandwich with the right equipment.  Unfortunately the Cuisinart CPT-120 Cast Metal 2-Slice Toaster isn't the "right stuff." 

While the Cuisinart CPT-120 Cast Metal 2-Slice Toaster has some nice features, like settings from 1-9, a cancel button, reheat, defrost and toast as well extra extra wide openings for bagels to toast those features and the $30.00 price tag don't outweigh the bad. 

First, it is very easy to burn your toast or other food items with the Cuisinart CPT-120 Cast Metal 2-Slice Toaster. You really only need a setting of about 2 or 3 to toast properly but with this one the dial is easily moved accidentally ending up with a very dark 9 and food that you need to throw away. 

Next, while the sides get only slightly warm getting to close to the top of the toaster while removing food and you will get burned. 

The crumb tray on the Cuisinart CPT-120 Cast Metal 2-Slice Toaster is too small, after just a couple of toastings you need to empty it. 

And for me, a 2 slice toaster just doesn't cut it. I hate sitting down to eat after everyone else is done, With the Cuisinart CPT-120 Cast Metal 2-Slice Toaster you can do some nice things but the constant watching of the settings, emptying the tray and having to toast frequently just so two people or more can eat makes this a buy that can get you burned.
