Cuisinart CBK-200 Bread Maker —

Thanks to Amazon, we got the product before the weekend instead of after (ETA was Monday) and we got to try it out the very day we got it.
I was impressed by the fact that the breadmaker did more than just bake bread - it can knead (pizza!!!) dough, bake cakes and make jams etc. Personally I don't like specialized appliances that just serve one narrow purpose, so this was a big plus for me.
We baked a plain white bread and it came out great! Can't wait to try out more recipes in the book and on the web.

Things I didn't like
1. I have a brushed-metal Cusinart blender.. colors don't match!
2. The LCD display is hard to look at as it is (you have to bend over the breadmaker and look straight down at it). Not having a light in it, makes it even harder to read.
3. The "delay timer" that the product description and manual talk about is actually the total time for baking. After you add the ingredients and select the appropriate mode, it will tell you the time it would take to bake. You can increase this time to whenever you want the bread to be ready. Being an engineer, this was a little counter-intuitive to me (delay means, do something AFTER the specified time). Other may find it more intuitive.
4. There is no easy way to figure out how soon a bread can be baked. I wish the recipes had a time range (since it depends on the size and crust type) so I could easily narrow down my choices if I need to bake something in a hurry (give me recipes that I bake in 2 hours, say)
