Cuisinart CBK-200 Bread Machine Review Summary

The Cuisinart CBK-200 Bread Maker gets very good reviews from reviewers who enjoy quality. A booklet of great bread maker recipes, 16 programmed menu options and a removable kneading paddle prompted one reviewer to say “I’m in love with this bread maker!” If you have small living quarters you may want to keep looking, the CBK-200 is 15 pounds and “isn’t much of a space saver”.

Last year my parents asked me what I wanted for my birthday/Christmas gift (I am a Dec. 25th birthday baby).  I wanted just a simple plain bread maker and when I opened my birthday gift it was not only a bread maker, but it was a Cuisinart Convection bread machine. My eyes almost popped out of my head...

Don't purchase this bread maker. I am on my second machine in just eight months, and I will not be returning this one if it breaks again. The drive motor system does not have enough power to mix the dough correctly. This means that you must watch the mixing of the dough and continue to add water at a... review »

Both my wife and I have used the CBK-200 and i have found it to be easy to use and makes decent bread for the price.

We bought this bread machine to offset our cost of buying loafs of bread at the supermarket.  We also use it occasionally to make a special loaf of bread that we would like to try.  We have enjoyed every loaf we have baked so far.

the construction is sturdy with no visible flaws.  It's stainless so will go with more modern looking kitchens or ones that already have stainless steel appliances.  If you are short on counter top space this may not be your best bet.

It is a bit noisy...

Here's the bread machine you've been waiting for. I purchased this one after my old machine started to smoke. Yes, I use it a lot, especially for doughs. We make focaccia, pizzas, soft pretzels and such. I also use it to prepare specialty breads like Polish Babka for the holidays. The Cuisinart Breead Machine saves me a ton of time and effort. I like to hand shape my breads so having the option to have perfect dough at the ready is great for me.

You will certainly enjoy the auto features of this machine. There are options for every conceivable bread/dough type from white, wheat, french, italian...

We received this Cuisinart Bread Machine for Christmas this year after our old Black & Decker one died around Thanksgiving. This machine is fantastic! We've already used it a bunch. It has so many more functions than our old one did, like the ability to delay the start time so that the bread will be ready when we get home from work and not just sit in the bread machine after it's done all day long (anyone who has used one before knows that this make the bread soggy because of all the steam). Also there are specialty settings for glucose-free and low-carb bread, and it comes with a pretty extensive... review »

This bread machine was a little hard to figure out at first -the recipe book includes detailed instructions on every recipe, but doesn't QUITE go all the way when telling you how to select a menu option.  Also, do NOT try to bake a loaf when leaving the kneading paddle in - you will ruin your bread when trying to take it off - just remove it before the last rise cycle, when it reminds you to.  Other than that, I am in love with this bread machine.  I've taken to making a loaf of delicious Rosemary/Thyme/Sage bread every week, and my husband and I have sandwiches on it for lunch every day - excellent!!... review »

I received one of these wonderful bread makers this past Christmas.  After reading the reviews on this site I told my hubby exactly which one I wanted.  It is wonderful.  In fact right now I am enjoying the aroma of fresh cinnamon bread on it's baking cycle.  It was a little hard to figure out the menu instructions the first time or two but after that it's easy.  The cookbook has some excellent recipes and the machines is adaptable to other things than just bread.  And I have been able to adapt other recipes I've found....the cinnamon bread for example.

this machine I have used different settings, and all white bread settings , when bread comes out, is burned, even on the light crust cycle. Not a good machine as far as a bread machine goes.

I purchased this breadmaker to try and have healthier bread for my family.

I can get a perfect loaf of white bread every time.  However, I can follow the directions to a tee and when I try to make any other type of bread, it will fall flat and it is an embarrassment to serve.  Of course, we still eat it because it tastes spectacular, it just looks bad.

I have also had issues with the lid wanting to stay closed all the way.  To fix this I put a 5lb loaf of flour on the top of it and it holds the lid down perfectly.

The final thing is that it takes it a very long time to cool down to be able...

We love our Cusinart Bread Machine. My husband got it for me after I begged for it for mother's day last year. I use it ALL the time since then. It had more features then I thought I would use but then we found out my son has a wheat allergy. It has a gluten-fee setting on it so I am not able to make his bread too! I also use just the dough setting a lot to make either rolls or pizza dough. We are on our second one because the pan kept popping out but they sent me a new one and it had not popped out once! It comes with a recipe book that has some great breads in it. It also beeps to let you know...

We purchased the Cuisinart CBK-200 Bread Machine a few months ago. It makes some beautiful dough but always burns the bread if you cook it in the bread maker, even on the light crust setting. I have just started making the dough in the machine and then cooking it in the over. Ocassionally when making dough the whole bowl will pop up out of the scoket and then it just makes racket and doesn't mix the dough. Can not be left alone like advertised.

Great easy to use appliance! Delicious Bread and rolls every time. I use it several times a week. My Family enjoys the wonderful smell of fresh baking bread and rolls in the kitchen so do our friends when we invite them for dinner. It came with a wonderful cook book with a variety of delicious recipes.

This Cuisinart bread maker not only serves as a delicious accesory to our kitchen but it is convenient and a huge money saver as well! We never throw out bread because we can make customized smaller loaves and all our ingredients last so much longer than one measley loaf of bread!

Really like this bread maker. Much better than my previous Welbilt bread maker. Especially like the beeps to remove the paddle before final rise and bake. Nice recipes in the included Booklet. I like the flat top so I can set something on top easily. Easy to clean.

This machine is great, it has lots of features. I loved using it he only problem is that sometimes you don't know hen to take the paddle out so when it is done cooking it gets stuck and is hard to get the bread out. Other than that it is a wonderful bread machine.
