We purchased the Cuisinart Brick Oven Deluxe with Convection Bake (BRK-200) around May 2008 and have loved it ever since. The price seems to be pretty consistent (around $250) from when we purchased it. And now it is about 7 months later! :)
When I was researching which Convection oven/ toaster oven to purchase, I did a LOT of research prior to deciding on this one --- some things I looked at were cubic space, convection and toaster oven features (I wasn't so concerned as the "bread baking feature" but that of course is an added feature for one day when I take those next cooking steps!) ;)
Some of the positives: Great for heating up pizza (convection oven) without powering up the whole regular oven or using the microwave. It also heats up pretty quickly. You can fit quite a number of items into the space. I'm able to fit large size casserole dishes in the oven. I also use it to heat up quick things such as french fries or chicken finger types. There are 3 temperatures for the toaster oven feature, which work pretty well.
There are 4 cooking features - Toasting, Broiling, Baking and Convection. They include the bricks for the brick oven feature, as well as several different types of racks and instructions - all very simple and straightforward to understand.
The oven is in stainless steel so it matches our other household items perfectly. It is pretty big in size though, and it does take up counter space. But highly convenient!
Negatives: Even though it heats up pretty quickly, there is no way to tell if the oven is "preheated" like when you use an oven. There could be a need for additional heating measures for the toaster oven. The crumb tray is kind of hard to clean (not so easy), I find myself not cleaning it as often as it should. Also, the buttons for "On" and "Off" were backwards but the type on the 2 buttons already smeared off from (over)use I guess over time. Either way we've only had it 6-7 months so how much could we possibly use it? :) (We do use it a ton!)
Overall, this is a great purchase and definitely recommended. The price is a little steap but I'd go for it especially this is an all-in-one!

Hey do you know if it would fit two loaf pans in it? My main reason for purchasing the brick oven would be to bake two loafs of bread at once. Do you think you could just place them on the stone or would there be limited space for that. Any insights will help.
