I have an older model of this excellent drip coffee maker from the good people at Cuisinart, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Whether you're brewing freshly ground organic Sumatran or something off of the grocery store shelf, the Brew Central will bring out the best in your coffee. Thanks to its gold-mesh filter, there is no need for those pesky paper filters that inevitably add the taste of wet newspaper to your morning eye-opener.
I can vouch for the durability of this machine, as I have been making coffee on it most every morning for the past five years, and it still works as well as...
read full review »I bought this coffemaker just under three years ago. It was on the expensive side but I purchased it anyway assuming that the money would be well spent due to the many good reviews of this machine along with it's attractive design. It worked well until the day it shut off after brewing a pot of coffee and died. Since I was still within the three year warranty period, I contacted Cuisinart. They instructed me to unplug it for 30 minutes and then plug it in again. I followed the instructions and still the same result. I tried different electrical outlets around my house and it still didn't power...
read full review »I may not be a coffeeholic, but I do know a good cup of black coffee. This maker is the best for the money. Scrap your Mr. Coffees' add a few extra bucks to what your willing to spend and buy a Cuisinart. You won't regret it.
My new, absolute most favorite, coffee maker is the Cuisinart Brew Central 12-Cup Coffee Maker. I'm so thrilled with it that I've considered treating it like a pair of shoes and buying a second one now while it's still possible.
What it Has!
With all of these...
When our predecessor unit, a 10-cup Braun unit died, it was obvious that we were going to need a replacement in a hurry. Initially, I tried a GE unit that just didn't brew good tasting coffee. So, once the GE unit went back to Wal-Mart, I checked out the Cuisinart Brew Central DCC-1200 Coffee Maker unit at a local department store. The features I liked about this unit included:
- 12 cup coffeemaker
- adjustable heat
- came with permanent filter
- adjustable settings for smaller quantities
- nice looking unit
With a few coupons, we ended up paying around $70 for this
Other features included a clock...
read full review »The Cuisinart Brew Central makes a good cup of coffee without the traditional glass coffee pot. This eliminates the worry of breaking the glass pot each time you wash it! The functionality and longevity of a Cuisinart makes it worth the money. We were tired of having to purchase a new coffee maker every 12-18 months. We decided to invest a little more money and we have not been sorry. I would recommend that anyone looking to purchase a Cuisinart to price them around, as you could pay up to $30-$40 more for the coffee maker. We purchased ours at Sam's Club and it cost $30 less than the...

Been using the DCC-1200 for about 2 weeks now. I can't believe what some people have been complaining about - this thing just works! After reading many of the reviews only 2 things concerned me - not… being able to see how much water you're putting in the reservoir (yes, I admit it, I fill it up with kitchen faucet hose) and excessive water pouring out the back when you lift the top lid. I'm happy to report that the model I received has improvements that minimize and/or eliminate these issues. Not sure if I have a new/improved model but it has bright, white, horizontal # markers on the...

read full review »This coffee maker is great! I am able to set it to go on whenever I like. I always have fresh coffee. The "cup meter" is easy to read. You can make as much coffee as you need or will drink. It filters the water great! I can pour 1/2 way through the brew and the coffee still tastes good.... you don't get that with many coffee makers. I LOVE IT!
This coffee maker is the best one I ever bought and would recommend it to anyone. It is very affordable and worth the money and an excuse to go shopping, so go out and buy this coffee maker it is worth the trip. I cannot think of a better prodect to buy, so go out and get one now.
