After reading a delicious-sounding recipe for Butternut Squash, Apple, and Pear soup this fall, I decided that I wanted a stick blender aka immersion blender. I wanted to be able to make yummy soups and also be able to use a blender without having to dig out the giant jar one from our filled-to-bursting cabinets. For Christmas, Santa brought me the Cuisinart SmartStick Hand Blender.
This immersion blender comes with 3 attachments: a whisk, a blending blade, and a chopping attachment. It is very to add and remove the attachments and there is only one button to press to turn the thing on. ...
read full review »For the price you pay, this is a great little kitchen gadget to have in your kitchen. The attachments are great, I use the mini-food processor quite often. Also, the stainless steel handle means I can blend hot soups right on the stove! It's great for quick jobs, making salsa is a snap. Just toss everything in it, pulse it a few times and voila! Also, when I'm in need of chopping quite a bit of garlic, I just peel and in seconds they're ready for marinades. Making tomato soup with the wand is so convenient. Just cook down some mirepoix with butter, add your canned tomatos, stew for a bit and send...
read full review »Prior to purchasing the Cuisinart Smartstick, my husband and I had another immersion blender--it lasted several years, but it had definitely seen better days by the time we decided to replace it. We decided to get the Smartstick to replace it and it was far and away one of the best purchases we've made. It's much more solid than our last model. I also love the chopper attachment--when you're just making a little bit of pesto or need to chop some nuts for a recipe, it's so much easier to use the Smartstick's chopper than to lug out the big, clunky food processor. It performs well, blending...
read full review »I bought this Cuisinart stick blender to replace a Braun that had given up the ghost. I liked the Braun OK, but this one is much better. The blade guard is deeper so that pieces of frozen fruit in my smoothies don't get caught like they tended to do with the Braun. It makes quick work of mixing, with no mess. The base is detachable from the blade portion, which makes for easy cleanup, and the one-handed operation of the blender is very convenient.
The stainless steel construction feels solid and of good quality. The motor is 200 watts, plenty powerful for mixing soups, potatoes, smoothies, and...
read full review »Cuisinart Blender - Smartstick Hand Single-Speed Blender: I don't have a regular blender anymore after having this great stick blender. I use this immersion blender for smoothies or blended lattes almost every morning. I use the mini food processor's attachment for chopping chicken for tacos, making pesto, salsa etc. I also love this stainless look and ease of cleaning. It's made well too, unlike the Wolfgang Puck immersion blender, it only lasted a year. The possibilities are endless with this thing!
i really like the Cuisinart Blender because it has different attachements
so i can make my smoothies, plus me kids can use it too with no problems
i can even stuff it in my bag and take it to work...
