Cuisinart Blender - Handheld CSB76 Review

My blender attachment for my stand mixer went kaput and rather than fork out for a very expensive replacement I decided to give this machine a try. Bought at Bed Bath and Beyond with the 20% off coupon it proved to be a very worthwhile investment. I make large batches of soup and tomato sauce for the freezer and, prior to purchasing this gadget, would use a couple of large pans and the aforementioned blender, all of which took ages to clean up. This blender cut the workload and pots used in half. Pop the thing into the pan of soup or sauce, whir it around for a couple of minutes and presto... nice blended soup and sauce. I haven't tried it for frozen margaritas yet, and may have to buy the old style blender for that purpose, but all in all I love this gadget.  Please be careful cleaning up, I did a stupid thing and whirred it in the sink. It happened so fast, I don't recall what I did, but I took the tip off my finger....... the blade is sharp... very!!  My fault entirely and I won't do it again.
