Worked great, didn't work for long

I own many crock pots because I have a big family and like to cook a lot of roasts and assorted dishes in them. I was given this particular crock pot for Christmas of 2014 and it's now January 2015 and it's no longer usable. I cooked a roast in it and used it for spare ribs and they came out great. Meat came out awesome and was very tender. This crock pot seemed to cook better then some of my other pots from different brands too. I liked that it was different looking and not at all like my others I own. It is simple to use but somewhat hard to clean on the outer rim. The last thing I cooked in it was some stew, and after It cooled and was at room temperature I cleaned it by hand and when I dried it off I noticed it had a small crack in the inside of the dish. It isn't visible from the outside but i choose not to use it anymore because of safety reasons. I did not cause the dish to break and I've never used it incorrectly or done anything what's so ever to have caused this to happen. It's frustrating because the company wouldn't do anything at all for me. I would not even want a replacement because this doesn't seem safe. I was concerned that it could have been a dangerous situation, had I used it for longer. I expressed this to the company and they didn't seem to think so. Some people like to leave it on all day and step out for a while and I do not believe this is a safe crock pot to do this with. Not sure if this could become a fire hazard but I wouldn't want to find out so im no longer interested in owning a crock pot from this company. Maybe it's just this pot in particular but any company that will take my money and then not recognize that they sold me a dud and fix the problem will not ever get my money again. It's aggravating that it cooked so well because in the end, it's not worth if you don't get to use it for a while. I threw out the outer element, and used the inner cracked dish for my dogs food dish after finding out I can't use it anymore! Not a good buy and not a helpful or sympathetic company at all.

Didn't work out for me

When I first saw this crock pot I thought it was so cool! It doesn't look like your average round or oval crock pot. It looks new and different and kind of fancy! At first I thought I was in love with this crock pot! It cooked well, it cooked thoroughly, and it cooked quickly. It was everything I could possibly want in a small-ish crock pot. Then, I believe it was the fourth or fifth time I used it the crockery part cracked. I didn't drop it. I didn't bang it into anything. I didn't out it in cold water after it was not for a long time. I didn't do anything out of the ordinary with it at all. I'm not even sure when it happened. I noticed it when I was cleaning it after the meal. The rest of the crock pot was under warranty but not the actual pot. So basically if anything else had broken I could have gotten it replaced. However as it stood, I now had a piece of garbage. I was really bummed because I really liked this but I didn't want to buy another one since this purchase turned out so badly. Design Looks super cool, wish it had lasted longer!

Sleek design, easy to use

Initially fell in love with the design of this slow cooker, as it is square and more modern looking than the more traditional round or oval. While I initially wasn't sure how many quarts to purchase, the four quart is perfect for a single person, leaving plenty of leftovers! The front panel is easy to use, simply select the temperature and then add time in thirty minute increments until you reach your desired cooking time. Once it is done cooking, it beeps and switches to warm mode for eight hours. The other thing that I like about this product is that it has legs on the bottom, lifting it off the counter and giving me that added confidence that it will be safe while I'm away from home. Only quibbles I have about this slow cooker are that if food spills on the outside of the pot, it is a little difficult to clean, smearing and smudging easily. One feature that I would love would be a start timer, so that I can prep the meal in the slow cooker, set it, and it would start at the time I want and cook at my desired time and temperature. Yet even with these minor requests, I still love this product and even purchased one for my mom after telling her how much I loved mine!

I purchased this crockpot because it was smaller. One of my sons has a number of food allergies. The pot has worked great for me. I have used it once a week for a year. But, a friend has the same one and the pot cracked after a few times using it. The pot wasn't included in the warranty.
