Cuisinart 12-cup —

I wanted a stainless steel coffee maker with a carafe and all the functions.  This was the best item for its price.

The coffee maker fits nicely on my counter--it squares off on the sides and the carafe fits snuggly into the maker.  The water is a little difficult to pour in, but that is the only negative--I had to read the directions to be able to get everything working, but the directions are clear and the coffeemaker is fairly easy to use.

I like that the coffee pot shuts off immediately after brewing--the coffee is in a insulated, stainless steel carafe, so it stays hot for quite a while--no more coffee continuing to cook after it has been made.

I can set the coffee to be made for a specific time in the morning, and it's ready when I am.

This also has a self-clean function and directions for how to use it--this too is fairly easy.  There is also a built in water filter system--you have to purchase the filters and they are a little pricy, but if your water doesn't taste good, it is a good feature to have.
