Excellent for the Price

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I've had the DCC-1100 for over a year now. First off, make sure that once the machine turns itself off that you actually open it and let the water evaporate. Do not leave it standing with the coffee pot on it. I had a problem where it actually smoked and the machine burnt. My second one has been fine. I think I had a lemon with my first one. Cuisinart's customer service is very good. I had no problem getting a free replacement.

The coffee is excellent, I love the programmable function, and I love to Brew 2-4 cups button for smaller amounts. I like that it keeps the coffee nice and hot for 2 hours after it brews and it turns itself off. Sometimes I forget.

It is fairly simple to learn how ...

I bought this coffee maker for an unbelievable price on Amazon.com. I read the reviews and I thought it would be a good coffeemaker for me. I like that fact that it has a gold tone filter for coffee grounds and a charcoal water filter. It heats up the coffee nice and hot, with no grounds in the carafe. It is a 12 cup coffee maker, but you can program it to make 1 to four cups, which is nice when it is just for me. It is very easy to clean, and if you want a cup before it is finished brewing it will stop when you remove the carafe from the coffee maker. I really have no complaints about it. It is nice and stylish, not an overly big appliance. It does not take up alot of space on your countertop either. A great budget buy.

Easy to use, makes great coffee! Cuisinart DCC-110 is the best!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We love our Cuisinart DCC-110 for so many reasons. It's super easy to use unlike others we've had in the past. The lid to the coffee pot is easy to remove and clean and the water is easy to pour into the coffee maker. We use the timer every night and coffee is ready when we wake up, a feature I couldn't live without! The black and silver on the face of the coffee maker look stylish and are easy to clean. It's also great to not have to buy filters. It seems like we were always running out and forgeting to buy them with our old coffee maker. With this you just remove the reusable screen filter and wash it. It also features a water filter that comes with the coffee maker. Since we have well water we love having a filter that keeps the hard water out of the coffee maker itself.

All the way around this is a perfect coffee maker. Great tasting and hot coffee every time!

Cuisinart 12 cup programmable coffeemaker is wonderful

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I will admit, my family is full of coffee snobs.  We wanted a specific machine that could perform a variety of functions well.  First on the list was non filter mechanisms.. this one has it.  Another feature that was needed was programmable function, this one has it, and another feature was easy to operate.. this one has that as well.  This is a wonderful machine. It is very easy to operate and the parts are very easy to clean.   There is a an incredible ease of use and it brews wonderful hot coffee.  My coffee maker also will time out after the pot has brewed, so it then automatically shuts off.  I love this feature!  There is a large p...

Great cup of joe

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

We got this coffeemaker to replace a kitchen aid coffee maker that had gone and died on us, and this has been a very fine replacement.  Its been easily programmable as far as the clock, brewing and timer selections.  The carafe is nice and big, well made and easy to pour from.  It may just be in my head, but we are using the same coffee that we were when the Kitchen Aid died and the brew seems to taste significantly better.  I'm not getting any spills or leaking issues so thats another positive.  All-in-all, its just a solid out of the box coffee maker and sure seems like its going to be a workhorse going forward.  We drink a lot of coffee and if we can get more than three years out of a machine we are doing well.

Bonus: 3-year warranty.  Thats a nice one that you don't usually see on kitchen appliances, so if you couple that with your Amex card you effectively get a four year warranty for your coffee maker.  Hard to top that in any world.

Coffee Snob

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

I've been a long time coffee drinker, I started when I was 12. It was never about the caffeine or needing to drink a whole pot. My family did not drink coffee to stay awake, it was to be enjoyed after dinner. The best coffee to me is not super strong, burnt or bitter. Instead it is smooth. You get this a couple of ways first 4 scoops of coffee to 6 cups of water. Secondly, don't let your coffee sit on the burner. And lastly, a great coffee pot that has a filter and you have to keep it clean!

Ok, so now why I chose the cuisinart. The DCC-1100 has a charcoal filter that filters the water and a gold filter basket that then filters your brewed coffee. The coffee pot tells you when you need to d...

Love almost everything about my Cuisinart dcc-1100 coffeemaker..

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

Being a thrifty shopper I found a great deal on the Cuisinart 12 cup programmable DCC-1100 coffeemaker and snatched one up in white. It had great reviews and we were really wanting to replace a carafe style coffeemaker that we already had.

The Cuisinart DCC-1100 coffeemaker is pretty sturdy and well made. I'm a little worried about the button breaking at some point but after 2 weeks she's still going strong, so I'm sure we're good! It has a water filter which is great, and I love that it has a gold tone filter and you don't have to use paper filters...hello where have I been?! Coffee tastes great and is always piping hot! It's really handy to have the option to program the coffee for my ...

I love our Cuisinart DCC-1100 Coffee Maker!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

This is only the second coffee maker I have ever owned the first being a Mr. Coffee 4 cup maker that I used in college to make hot chocolate.  I was not a coffee drinker until we got this programmable coffee maker.  We have another brew system that uses K-cups but this is machine has stood the test of daily use and abuse.  I love being able to program it to come on in the am before my husband gets out of bed.  Nothing better than having a cup of coffee waiting on you.

The Cuisinart DCC-1100 is not only easy to use but also very easy to clean.  When it was time for the machine to be cleaned a light came on to notify me no more guessing!  Another nice feat...

LOVE our Cuisinart Coffee Maker!

Overall
Rated 5 out of 5

Having done the "Mr. Coffee" route for many, many years we decided it was about time to get ourselves a quality coffee maker!  We checked out several different models and settled on this one for various reasons.  While we like the stainless look, I knew I didn't want to deal with the constant smears and dirty look.  With this model, you get a small rectangle of stainless and the rest is black plastic that is easy to wipe off.  We also considered getting a stainless insulated carafe but wanted to be able to see the amount of coffee that was brewed.  We also don't entertain enough to feel the need to set the carafe on the table and can keep it on its warmer.  The other features we like a lot are that it's programmable, there's an auto cleaner and there's a water filter.  However, one of the negatives is that the water filter packets are expensive!  But my husband, who has worked at Starbucks, says that he can tell the difference in the water quality, so to us it's worth it!

Want to clean a coffee pot more than you need to

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

I was given this coffee pot at christmas. First off its only february and I have cleaned this coffee pot more than I should be. I open my coffee pot and ran a cold water to rinse it out, so I started brewing coffee and boy does it taste fresh. But I noticed mine said the clean light flashing. This was only after 6 brews but get this, I rinse it out and dry the parts and treat it like a child because I am trying not to clean this things constantly right, Nope! I have cleaned it and cleaned and It has not stopped flashing, I even cleaned it with vinegar and water, unplugged it and it still is flashing, I call the customer service and they said as long as it is still brewing and tasting good it...

Cuisinart Programmable Coffeemaker makes a good cup of coffee

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

My husband and I enjoy the fresh-brewed coffee from our Cuisinart Programmable Coffeemaker model DCC-1100.  I enjoy that it has a large, 12-cup capacity, which is great for when company comes over, and yet it can brew just 4 cups on a regular basis for my family.  Another great feature is the "Brew Pause" feature which allows you to pour your cup of coffee before the entire pot is done brewing.  The coffee continues to brew while the carafe is removed, only the flow of the coffee stops.  This coffeemaker has a permanant gold filter included, which works well.  We usually also use a paper filter, as we prefer our coffee to have less "sludge" at the bottom.  Several things I do not like about my Cuisinart Coffeemaker include the faulty digital clock which affects my ability to program the coffeemaker properly.  The clock always runs fast, gaining a minute or two every day until it is way ahead of regular time.  For this reason, I do not use the programmable function.

Great Coffeemaker

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

Love my Cuisinart coffeemaker!  Absolutely love it!  We have the stainless steel carafe and it keeps the coffee warm throughout the entire day.  I drink coffee throughout the entire day up until about 5 in the afternoon, so I wanted a pot that would keep it warm since I don't care much for microwaved nuked coffee.  This pot does the job perfectly!

One of the downsides to this particular model is that it seems like it requires cleaning quite often.  Seems like I clean it every 2 weeks or so.  That wouldn't be so bad except that you run 4 cups of vinegar through it and then I have to run 3 or 4 cycles of water just to get the vinegar smell to go away.

When the machine is clean, it brews quite quickly, under 5 min.  When it needs a cleaning it can take upwards of 15 to 20 minutes to brew a pot.

The price was good too.  I was able to get it for under $50 at my local Bed Bath and Beyond using a 20% coupons.

Great reliable, stylish, good value, consistent brew coffee pot

Overall
Rated 4 out of 5

So....our old Krepps dies, and we had to get a new one....and all we had to buy with was a $50 gift certificate to Macy's.....what the heck are we going to get?!

Well, this is what we got....and after about a week, i didn't regret it.

Biggest thing to get used to, was pouring the water into the...eh, marginally sized hole in the back right of the machine without making a mess. especially the last cup or so out of the pot. But once you get used to it, it's a no brainer.

This thing brews a full pot pretty fast, is relatively quiet, though i wish you could turn off the "pot is ready" five loud beeps for those days that your significant other is still in bed and your coffee is apparently read...

Coffeemaker DCC-1100 Is JUST OK

Overall
Rated 3 out of 5

In my humble opinion, this product is just ok. I purchased this coffeemaker for the office. I realize that it is not reasonable to expect this grade of product to perform as well as a commercial grade machine. But in my opinion, this Cuisinart Coffeemaker does not even come close. It is made from very lightweight plastic, and not what you would (or I would) expect from the usual high grade and premium appliance maker Cuisinart. Also I realize I dont make much coffee, but this machine was a bit tricky to figure out, and struggled making a FINE CUP OF COFFEE. Really, it shouldnt be that difficult. And there were not any instructions included in the packaging. I guess the makers of this product assume that if you are buying this coffeemaker you already know how to brew a good cup of JAVA, well they were wrong.
