When I first moved to Chicago, IL (cold & windy) from Asheville, NC (warm & mild) I had to prepare myself for brutal winters ahead. I'm not exaggerating when I say that Cuddl Duds saved my life. Okay, maybe a little. As a southerner who had NEVER experienced subzero temperatures, I was shocked to find just how bone-chilling cold Chicago is during January and February.

Luckily, I was introduced to Cuddl Duds by a good friend. She said, "Cuddl Duds are must haves." I said, "What the hay is a Cuddl Dud?" Well, Cuddl Duds are a brand of thermal underwear made for women. The style I own, Softwear with Stretch, are made of premium cotton and nylon. Cuddl Dud's come in various styles with different colors, textures and materials. Examples of other styles are pictured here: Comfort Stretch Active and Long Janes.

My Cuddl Dud's are black but I believe you can find them in multiple colors. Black suits me because I wear mostly dark colors during the winter. The Duds are easily camouflaged under most casual and dress clothes. They should suit you whether you dress up or dress down for work.

My friends make fun of me for constantly bringing up Cuddl Duds when someone is whining about how cold it is outside. I could seriously be a Cuddl Dud representative. I'm telling ya ladies, get some Duds and you won't regret it.

Visit cuddlduds.com, JCPennys.com, barenecessities.com, or Amazon.com to order your own pair of Duds.

Aren't these the BEST to stay toasty warm, it gets real cold here in New England too so these are a must as far as I'm concerned.

I agree, I could live in these things. the winters we get in Nebraska are very biting. however "m more of a year round kind of girl when it comes to my Cuddl Duds. :) they have tank tops too. Hooray! Thanks

You need to come back to NC. Our blood is too thin for the North - even with Cuddlduds.

I agree I own two pairs, one black and one pink,I wanted two black but they only had 1 black in my size,Blacks ones are the first to go,I wear them under my jeans and they are so thin and warm.
A big plus of warmth for us woman who freeze, I have been wearing them the last two winters...Love them :))

When we visited family in Ohio, EVERYONE told us about these things! It doesn't snow where we live, but we bought some anyway just for the visit. They really do work!

Though I do not experience zero degree weather here in Prescott, AZ... it does get pretty chilly... especially this past winter being 14 degrees outside. I'm going to have to check these Cuddl Duds out! Thanks Meredith.

These sound perfect for up north here. We will be hitting below zero again here this week...where is spring? Love the colors!

oh that's a hard one... for different seasons in one day it would have to be Colorado. I saw snow on the side of the highway in the middle of June! For scenic beauty it would be Vermont in the fall as the leaves turn. West Coast......The winner there is the Redwood trees of California, they are such beautiful trees and huge! Montana on a clear night feels like you can touch the stars...I enjoyed driving and felt like a commercial tourist because they paid me to see the country, I really miss it too!

ha! would that be an ice-tee instead of a goatee? ;) so what was your favorite state(s) to drive to? just curious because i haven't traveled all that much inside the US. still have lots to see on the west coast and everything in between really.

PattyTherre wrote on Feb 21, 2008 at 8:12PM

NOW you tell me about these. I'm freezing here in New York! I am going to take a look and see if I can find some!

kid-kansas wrote on Feb 21, 2008 at 5:35PM

silly or not if they keep you warm in the Windy City they have to be good. I used to dread delivering anything there in the winter. One time I had an solid ice goatee and moustache after only 10 minutes while unloading on the west side at the lumber yards! Ron
