It seems like during hot weather, the only thing better than an sip of icy cold water is a little something to add to it -- especially the delightful Crystal Light products. Crystal Light On The Go Hydration possesses a flavor which is a little different but nevertheless delightful. I chose the Lightly Lemon flavor which tastes like citrus with a touch of salt added -- rather like a Margarita with salt around the edge of the glass. As I sipped, I checked out the information on the package and was cheered to see that this beverage contains electrolytes to aid hydration, in addition to other worthy stuff ...
STATS:
The instructions are to dissolve a single packet in a 20 oz. bottle of water, thus creating two 10 oz. servings. Each serving contains five calories with zero each total fat, total carbs, sugars, and protein. There are 75 mg. sodium and 35 mg. potassium. Wait until you see these vitamins and minerals: 10% (D.V.) each Vitamin A, Vitamin E, Vitamin B6, Niacin, and Riboflavin, along with 100 Vitamin C. That kind of vitamin power means that this beverage could be an important part of our diet not just during the hot weather but all year long, especially in the cold and flu season.
TASTE TIP:
I dissolved Crystal Light On The Go Hydration in a 20 oz. bottle of water, shook it vigorously, then placed in the freezer for a while just to get a little icy "slush" started.
