I'm a mom of 6 kids and just turned 40! All of my life every deodorant I've ever tried made me break out in a itchy rash! But this crystal rock deodorant did not and has not! Plus there is no aluminum in it which is way better for your body I would recommend this to everybody much safer than traditional deodorant and it keeps my armpits from being stinky
When I worked at [Whole Foods Market] in the body care aisle, we sold only *deodorants* * *because some anti-perspirants have been linked to breast cancer*. *I always got to hear what the customers thought about all of the natural deodorants we sold and over time realized that the deodorants that worked the best for the most people were the salt rocks deodorants. The salt rock deodorants come in several forms: spray, salt rock stick and roll-on. I bought the **Crystal Stick Body Deodorant**. **Aluminum can be dangerous** Many case studies have proven that deodorants/anti-perspirants that contain aluminum can be the cause of some breast cancers. Many women in these studies used deodorants/anti-perspirants and when they underwent a breast biopsy, the doctors found aluminum in the breast cancer. For that reason alone, I will never touch another drugstore deodorant unless it is a salt rock formula. **Natural Deodorants?** Yes it is true that some all natural deodorants do not work as well as the unnatural (aluminum containing) deodorants but the thing with natural deodorants is body chemistry. Finding a natural deodorant that works for your body is like finding a mate. You might strike out several times before you find the one that works for you. Natural deodorants work with your body's chemistry, so some will work and some might not. It took some of my customers at Whole Foods Markets 3-5 different deodorants before they found the one that worked for them. **What is a deodorant?** A deodorant is just that - a de-odor-ant. It helps prevent bacteria from forming which causes odor. A deodorant will not prevent you from sweating. That is what aluminum containing anti-perspirants do. Whether it is important to you to avoid aluminum is up to you. **My Experience** My experience with the **Crystal Stick Body Deodorant** has been great. I'll admit, it did take some getting used to in the beginning, but now that I have been using it for over a year, I love it. It goes on clear and dries clear, meaning it doesn't leave any white marks on your clothes. It dries completely and does not leave you feeling wet or sticky. The **Crystal Stick Body Deodorant **claims to last one year, but I have been using it for a year and a half and have not even used 1/8 of it yet. This thing will last longer than a typical car! **Crystal Stick Body Deodorant:** - Hypoallergenic - For men or women - Unscented - Non-staining - 100% all natural - Contains: natural mineral salts, ammonium alum **The Scoop!** Whether or not you try the **Crystal Stick Body Deodorant** is up to you, but I do encourage you to at least try an all natural deodorant. It's one easy way to look out for your health in the long run. I think my stick will last another 6 years, but whenever it does run out, I will definitely buy another one. : http://www.viewpoints.com/Whole-Foods-Alexandria-VA-review-20d96

The Crystal Body Deodorant stick is a good product. I was more than hesitant to try this but I am glad I did. I like the product for what it is. It is a safe, fragrance free, natural product that does not stain or leave an embarrassing white residue. What it is not is an anti-antiperspirant, which some have been linked to cancer, however this means you will sweat. I appreciate the fact there is no Aluminum Chlorohydrate and it is endorsed by Cancer Treatment Centers. It uses natural salts to eliminate odor. Using the roll- on is more convenient then using the hard crystal that you have to wet but they works the same. This is a cheap item which is nice and it seems to last forever. Since it lasts so long you are not only saving money but helping the environment by not throwing tons of deodorant bottles away. I do recommend applying it to your skin as soon as your out of the shower, it is important to put in on when your shin is fresh and clean. Five stars for this great product. I recommend everyone try it out.
**Crystal Body Deodorant Stick **is a great way to help stop underarm odors. It really, really works. And it lasts and lasts. This is the ultimate in frugality. This stick can last a year or longer. You unscrew the cap and place it under running water for a few seconds. Get it good and wet and apply just like any other deodorant. The only difference here is that this does not contain harmful aluminum chlorohydrate. It is made from salt crystals. I feel that it is easy to apply and is an excellent price since it lasts so long. It should not be used right after shaving as it will burn the skin somewhat. My only problem with this product is that if you drop it it shatter in many pieces and then you are left with a hard crusty weird shaped product that is not comfortable to apply to your skin. The way to fix it is to use it again with lots of water on it and eventually it will get back in to shape.
I bought this two months ago at a drugstore because I wanted to try something different.and was pleasantly surprised. I was tired of the white lines on my clothing and the greasy feel under my armpits. I gave up spray deodorant years ago because I grew tired of gagging and running out of the room from it! This stuff really keeps me dry! I mean really dry! I had to lift my arm and stare at my armpit because I wasn't sweating. I was wondering what was going on! No funky smell. I run a little water over the stick before applying it and it eventually dries sealing in any persperation. The best time to apply is right after a shower when your skin is still moist. I also like the fact that there's no cancer causing aluminum chlorohydrate in it! It is frangrance and paraben free and lasts a long time. It is all natural and made of mineral salts and is safe for the environment. This is what I'll be using from now on.
i'm not crazy about the idea of using antiperspirant because i'm not convinced it's completely safe, but at the same time i want a deodorant that will really work. that's not an easy thign to find. i've tried quite a few different brands, including Kiss My Face and Tom's of Maine, and while both are great brands in general, their deodorants simply do not work. they neither eliminate nor mask odors effetively. there was some other "off-brand" that came in a beige roll-on bottle that i found to work pretty well, but it's very hard to find. i had heard great thigns about the Crystal deodorant but was hesitant to try it at first for fear of wasting more money only to end up smelling bad anyway. i finally decided to try it when we took a vacation last June. i figured that the little deodorant was a good travel size, and a vacation aws as good a time as any to experiment. the very first day i used Crystal deodorant, i spent most of the day running around a steaming hot theme park in Dallas...and still smelled fine afterwards! i put this product to the test on day one, and it passed with flying colors. i've been using it ever since, and it still works great, and it lasts a loooooong time! i do find that over-use can lead to a bit of sensitivity, but still i wouldn't trade the safety and effectiveness for anything. just be sure to read the warnings on the label as apparently leaving this stuff on certain types of surfaces can damage the surface.

THis is by far the worst of the natural deoderant type products that I have tried AND it wasn't cheap. I don't think I really knew what it was like until I bought it. It's a strange, mineral-rock like product. I think that the minerals are supposed to kill your under-arm bacteria and therefore, keep you from stinking. Nice concept, but for me it didn't work at all. I still stank and no amount of reapplication helped. I was very disappointed and probably should have gotten my money back but didn't. I also had boughten one for my teenage daughter and she didn't have any better luck with hers. Safe to say, we won't be buying it again. It really doesn't seem like you're applying anything anyway, so maybe you're not. I don't know. If it is winter time and very cold and you never sweat and you never have underarm oder anyway, than it just might work for you. Thinking about that scenario though, if that were you, why would you buy any deoderant? You wouldn't need it. Please, don't waste your money on this product!
Crystal Body Deodorant Stick is a natural product that is hypoallergenic, fragrance and paraben free. There is no aluminum chlorohydrate in this deodorant making it a much healthier alternative to many other deodorant products. It is made of 100% mineral salts to eliminate odor by leaving an invisible barrier against odor causing bacteria. It comes in a stick that you wet with water and apply. This deodorant stick can be used by both men and women and is non sticky and non staining. One Crystal Body Deodorant Stick lasts for up to a year with daily use, so it is a good value. I have used this deodorant for several years now and will never use ordinary deodorant products again. This deodorant really works well and knowing that it is a natural, pure product lets me use it without any worry about added chemicals. It comes in an easy to use rollup tube and is also available in small travel sized tubes. This is a special product!

As a breast cancer survivor, it is important that I select products that don't cause tumors to recur, as do the aluminum salts in almost every commercial antiperspirant. I have tried two liquid roll-on natural crystal deodorant products, and "CRYSTAL" outperforms "Naturally Fresh." "CRYSTAL" deodorizes; on me, Naturally Fresh did not. Of course, sacrificing anti-perspirant means dampness at times. Dampness I can deal with -- smelly, not so much. :) Malignant tumors, least of all. "CRYSTAL" products get a big thumbs-up from me!
