I found cruise critic (cruisecritic.com) a couple of years ago when I was hoping to find an answer about a specific port. What I found was not only the answer to my question but a great little website! While it is not perfect, cruise critic is a site worth checking out before, or after, booking a cruise. — What Cruise Critic IS — At Cruise Critic you can read reviews from other cruisers, book one of their cruise specials, find information on ships and ports you can visit. This website is a must before you cruise.  I recommend it to everyone.  It contains professional reviews of ships on every cruise line.  It also contains reviews from members who have also cruised on the ships.  There is also information on ports of call, such as shopping, things to do, places to visit.  In addition to that is a message board where you can find valuable information things other members have done on their cruises.  — On my last cruise I was able to find out that you could not get from one end of the ship to the other on one of the decks,… read full review »

My husband and I have been using Cruise Critic for the last 4 years to research cruises as well as connect with others that have been on the ships we are interested in, or are going to be on the same cruise as us.
