This is a typical Patterson book. A quick read with short chapters. The character of Dr. Alex Cross has been well developed over the course of many books and this continues a story line from previous works. The book seemed to be a bit of a reach and simply a place holder for the next in the series. Patterson has better offerings. I would not recommend this offering.
