The Crosley radio, turntable and CD recorder sounded like it would do everything I needed or wished to do regarding playing and recording my music. We have a large collection of vinyl records that I wanted to make cds of to take the music with us an a long car trip. I was pleased that I could easily figure out the directions on recording the cds. You can take one song off an album or the whole album with ease. It had a very nice sound when played back from the recorded cd. My disappointment came when I tried to play the cd in the cars or on another stereo or anywhere. You can only play it on the Crosley which I usually use to play the original vinyl record so I have no need to play a recorded cd on it! The manual says that this unit will only play cd's recorded on the MP3 format. I did not realize that the unit did not record in a MP3 cd format to play on other stereos or computers. I hope this saves another from making a 200 dollar purchase on what they thought would be useful but ends up very limited in it's use.
