Cricket Review Summary

Thinking of switching to Cricket? Our reviewers seem to think it might be a good idea. What do they like about it? The pre-set fee that allows them to call and send texts without having thinking about it. Says one Cricket customer “There’s no worrying about how many times people call or how many texts I receive.” Also, our members appreciated that they didn’t have to sign into a long terms contract. The drawbacks on Cricket are that their customer service if iffy. Replacing broken phones has been a hassle for some customers, and others claim that they have reached overseas customer service agents who don’t speak English very well. That aside, our reviewers liked the service that they got from Cricket. Keep reading, we’ve got Verizon Wireless reviews, Virgin Mobile reviews, and more!

I love Cricket cell service.  It's completely hassle free.  I don't have to think about running out of minutes and what times are free or calling circles or what areas are free or what network people are on or anything like that.  I don't have to be locked in to a contract… read full review »

I read the Cricket review by Redstarr (one of my favorite reviewers), and I thought I'd go with Cricket. She's young and has great ideas and I was sold. I still think Cricket is a wonderful idea (and Redstarr is on target), but sadly they do not cover everyone. — First I was… read full review »

I have had cricket for around 3 years and I love it. I can travel almost anywhere in the US and have service and not have to worry about the roaming fees and other nonsense. I pay 1 price about $63 including the taxes and insurance and get unlimited everything: local, long distance, text, no roaming, voicemail. I have found only 1 place where I don't pick up a signal where I live and that is a road that misses the signal for about 1 mile only. The only thing that I do not like about them is that like usual companies they are getting greedy and you better not be 1 day… read full review »

i love their unlimited minutes, text messaging, photos and photo sharing and the same bill every month. i have been with other companies and would run myself into the ground talking too much or at the wrong times. but with Cricket i have never had a problem and have been with the company since 2002. — the only problem i had was with customer service in the main store in Reno, NV. there is barely ever a time when you can go into that corporate store on mccarran and virginia and not have at least a 1/2 wait, even if it's just to pay a bill. if you call the 800 number they will tell… read full review »

I have been with Cricket for a little over 1 year. I have three phone lines with Cricket 1 for myself and my 2 kids. We are very satisfied with the service that has been provided. — We can e-mail, text, call in or out and use the Internet as much or as long as we want and my bill stays the same each month no hidden cost or fees that can not be explained by a customer service rep. — — In the past I have dealt with other cell phone companies who just eat a hole in your pockets on charges for things they can't even explain. I kept praying for my dead line of the contract to… read full review »

Cricket is a phone service that isn't all over the world yet like verizon or t-mobil....etc....but will soon be rising to the top.unfortunatly the service is only availible in the state of ks. and mo. They work just like a prepaid phone you pay your bill 1 mo. in advance and that is what you make your calls on. Your calling is unlimited wether local or long distance unlike most prepaid phones where they charge you a fee for every minut your on the phone. They nickle and dime you for every text as well. Cricket don't do that you pay a set rate every month and you get everything free… read full review »

04/17/08 —      Cricket isn't too bad. I just wanted something basic and that is what I have. I don't do any long talking time and I don't have long distance so until I upgrade I can just have basic non-techy phone skills. I like the idea that I can pay as I go because it's less stress-full knowing I can pay the same bill every month and have unlimited minutes-that's a big plus! —      With my phone I can receive text messaging but I can't text back or out; that might be a drawback if I used my phone a lot but I don't. I just… read full review »

I originally got cricKet because I needed to be able to keep in touch with people when I wasn't home.  Knowing that my last experience with cell service cost me WAY too much because I am a text-addict, the "free text" concept was great.  I love being able to call whoever I want, whenever I want without worrying about what time it is or how long I've been on the phone.  When they say 'unlimited', they mean it.  I am charged a flat fee every month.  No surprises.  — The only downside that I've seen so far is that I can't participate in "text voting". … read full review »

I have been with Cricket service since the day they opened in my area.  They have always given me great customer service, courteous, friendly and helpful. I don't have to sign a long term contract and be locked into a "plan" and I haven't ever had a call drop.  I have watched all my friends fight with their cell providers at one point or another. Either because of poor service, outrageous bills, or technical problems.  — Most of the people who I've talked to that have problems with Cricket have admitted that they may not have paid their bill on time.  Cricket is a… read full review »

I thoroughly enjoy Cricket.  Their plans are affordable.  When I have a problem though, it is very difficult to get a hold of someone on the phone.  If you go to a store, you wait probably atleast 45 minutes to an hour before you are seen.  One great item they offer is Bridge Pay; it… read full review »

All in all phone is ok for the price. I am constantly dropping calls. Also I think Cricket sells your nmber to telemarketers, From day one I have gotten annoying sales call. I am on a limited budget, so the monthy bill of $50 is worth it to put up with the annoying sales… read full review »
