I originally got cricKet because I needed to be able to keep in touch with people when I wasn't home. Knowing that my last experience with cell service cost me WAY too much because I am a text-addict, the "free text" concept was great. I love being able to call whoever I want, whenever I want without worrying about what time it is or how long I've been on the phone. When they say 'unlimited', they mean it. I am charged a flat fee every month. No surprises.
The only downside that I've seen so far is that I can't participate in "text voting". One of my local radio stations has a number that you can text requests into, but because it is not a full phone number (its a 5 digit number), my text doesn't go through. I get a response that says, "Cricket is not participating in this event at this time".
Overall, its a good deal. Cheap with unlimited calls. Not bad.
