A couple years back I decided to try out one of those electric (battery powered) toothbrushes you can find at the drugstore. I picked out the Crest SpinBrush Pro Whitening, because who doesn't want whiter teeth?
I've been using this toothbrush for a couple years now, switching out the head for a fresh one every few months. I really like how it cleans. The head has like a dual-action motion going on - a rotating part at the tip and a scrubbing part. It really feels like it's getting in between my teeth and doing a great job cleaning.
The toothbrush takes 2 AA batteries and I've found that with regular use (twice a day brushing) the batteries last for at least a couple months at a time. So it's not one of those battery draining devices that becomes 'not worth it' quickly due to the battery expense.
I will say that there is some gunk buildup in the battery compartment that I've had to clean out with a q-tip. Maybe it's just because I've had the toothbrush for awhile now, it may be that I just need to suck it up and buy a nice fresh one. Otherwise, no complaints!
