Good for older toddlers

5

We started our children with baby toothpaste that was designed to be safe to swallow. But when our kids got a little bit older, we wanted to use a regular kids' toothpaste that wasn't necessarily "safe to swallow," but would be easy for them to learn to brush their teeth as they learned to spit it out when they were done. Our children enjoy using this toothpaste, and it has done a good job of cleaning their teeth and preventing cavities. It comes in a small tube, and it is easy to squeeze out as long as the tube is relatively full. One downside is that the tube itself is a bit stiff, so when you try to squeeze out toothpaste when it is almost done, you don't get anything until you squeeze pretty hard. But when you squeeze hard, a lot comes out at once (more than the recommended amount for young children). But other than this difficult in emptying the end of a tube, this toothpaste has worked great.

Kids Crest ToothPaste Is the Only Toothpaste My Kids Will Use

5

I honestly do not have one complaint about this toothpaste. I originally received a sample of it from our pediatric dentist after one of my children's biannual dentist appointments. My daughter loved the taste, the "sparkle in the toothpaste", and I loved her breath afterward. We gave it a try, have bought several tubes of toothpaste since, and it has been a winner for all three of my children. I allow my seven year-old and five year-old to brush their own teeth once a day, and then I brush them the other time each day. I feel confident that between the two brushings (even if one is not as thorough) with Kids Crest we are getting their teeth very clean. I recently started brushing my two year-old's teeth with this toothpaste. She has rejected other toothpastes before because they have been "too spicy" according to her, but she loves this one. It may not be the most potent toothpaste out there, but it still makes her breath fresh and teeth clean. Overall, I love that none of my three children have had cavities while on this toothpaste and that they have fresh breath!

Best for older kids

We tried using the Crest Kids Toothpaste for several of the kids in our family at different ages and stages in life because the price is pretty good compared to other childrens' toothpastes. The problem, however, is that the younger kids do not really like the mint flavor and prefer the "fun" flavors of bubble gum, fruit, et cetera that other toothpastes have. The Crest Kids Toothpaste is therefore better for older kids who do not need quite as much coercion to get them to brush their teeth. The children in our family have not had any cavities as of yet (and hopefully never will!) so the Crest Kids Toothpaste seems to be fairly effective in regards to keeping their teeth clean and free of tarter and plaque build-up. They seem to like the flavor better as they get older, and it seems to be one of the most cost-effective toothpastes that is offered out there for children.

BEST FLAVOR FOR KIDS

5

Kid's Crest toothpaste has been an end to the battle of brushing for my son. I grew up with mint flavored toothpastes and never gave thought to flavored toothpastes for children. But after reading the labels on many of the kids toothpastes, I realized that a lot of them had no fluoride in them. I then asked my dentist to suggest a toothpaste for my son and she suggested he use Kid's Crest Sparkle Fun toothpaste. She had given us a sample 9 years ago, and he loved it. Since then, he has not used another toothpaste out there. This has been a main staple in our home since then. He loves this toothpaste so much, he even takes it to his orthodontist appointments each month so that he does not have to use their mint flavored toothpaste. Kid's Crest Sparkle toothpaste is not only great tasting, but it has fluoride which helps to prevent cavities. This to me tastes like bubble gum. It is regularly available in all stores in various sizes. And the cost is always reasonable.

Great toothpaste for kid's and doesn't make a big mess!

My seven year old daughter has an aversion to all things spicy or minty. Fortunately, Crest Kid's Toothpaste is the perfect mix of sweet and mint for her. I assure you that just about any kid would be fine with this flavor! Another fun bonus with this toothpaste is that it "sparkles". It has little crystals in it that offer a neat sparkle that is fun for boys and will make any girl feel like a princess. My children have been using this toothpaste for several years and haven't had any cavities so I would rate it well for being effective too. This toothpaste does contain fluoride so you need to make sure that your child doesn't swallow the paste. This toothpaste is offered in 2 types of containers. The standard tube and a stand-up container. I LOVE the stand-up container!! It is easy enough for my kids to use and since it is standing upright, it does not allow for toothpaste to seep out onto the bathroom counter top. This saves me money because toothpaste isn't waste and it saves me time because I'm not cleaning up toothpaste off my counters anymore. I highly recommend this product!!

The toothpaste my kids would buy, but lots of chemicals in it

My kids would choose this toothpaste as their favorite. It is a nice mellow flavor for kids, especially young ones who may not be able to deal with the peppermint flavors in most normal toothpastes. This is a good toothpaste if your child struggles with wanting to brush their teeth. The flavor is very kid-oriented and my kids seemed to like the sparkles as well. We used this toothpaste for several years and I found the kids even liked the flavor so much that they would use more of the toothpaste than was necessary. But, as I tried to move my kids away from the chemicals and food coloring in products, I realized that toothpaste is a source that slipped through the cracks. We decided to forgo the "neat" and character driven toothpaste for ones that don't add all that junk to the kids' systems. I would especially not recommend this brand if your child struggles with food coloring in other food sources.

Crest kids toothpaste

I bought Crest Kids toothpaste for my children to brush their teeth. This is a great toothpaste to teach your kids how to brush their teeth. It is gentle on tooth enamel and it has fluoride which protect their teeth from cavities. It has a nice taste to it, which to me smells and taste like bubble gum. I do not have any problems with my kids brushing their teeth. This toothpaste will not harm your child if they swallow some of this toothpaste. So that is why I think this is a great learning toothpaste and the fact it taste much better then regular boring toothpaste. I have two boys. One is four and the other is six. I mainly buy Crest kids toothpaste for them. They use mainly Crest kids toothpaste and I am proud to say they have never has a cavity or work done on any of their teeth. So I am confident that Crest Kids Toothpaste really works at protecting your child's teeth from cavities. I highly recommend using Crest Kids toothpaste.

kids love it

I purchased Crest Kids toothpaste for my three young children because they got tires of their previous brand and they love this toothpaste. They have told me it has a great tatse and that is extremely important when you are trying to get your children to brush their teeth. I have three daughters aged ten, eight and six and they are very good about brushing their teeth. They brush twice a day and the last time I took them to the dentist for their check-up, all three came away with not even a single cavity. The packaging on the Crest toothpaste is easy for my children to open so I do not have to help them and they are able to squeeze it out of the tube themselves. The price is reasonable and I have found several coupons to help. The flavor is great and kids want to use it and this is why I would definitely recommend Crest Kids toothpaste to any parent out there that wants to encourage their children to brush their teeth.

My Kids Love Crest Kids Toothpaste!

5

My 5 year old received a tube of this from the dentist office and I figured he would not like it because it didn't have a bubble gum flavor or a character on the front, but I was so wrong! He loved it and it also fits more into the category of toothpaste for my two step sons who are 11 and 12. Now, I can buy one toothpaste for all of them and everyone is happy! The taste is not too strong (like some adult toothpastes) and the love it. I think it would appeal to more younger kids if it did have a character or something more youthful on the tube because some kids probably won't even try it because of that factor. I think my son was willing to try it so easily because the first tube came from the dentist so it was his "own" tube. I am very pleased with this product!

Crest kids toothpaste is loved by our kids!

4

This toothpaste is great for kids! Not only does it have an appropriate amount of flouride, but my kids love the taste too. Our dentist said it was even safe for my 20 month old son to use a 1/2 pea size amount of this toothpaste. The great taste motivates our kids to actually want to brush their teeth. The only cons are that it is somtimes hard for little hands to unscrew the cap (even for my 5 year old) especially when there is some toothpaste stuck to the outside! It is also hard to get all of the toothpaste out when it's running low. Finally, the cost is a bit much unless it's on sale with a good coupon. Overall, it is a great product though that helps my kids take better care of their teeth!
