I received a coupon from Vocalpoint to try Crest Weekly Clean for FREE, so of course I used it.  I would never have tried this product on my own, but with a free coupon, I'll try just about anything.

Crest Weekly Clean is a very new product that boasts it "polishes your teeth with an ingredient similar to what dentists use and provides your teeth with a smooth, clean feeling."  And after using the product, I have to say that my teeth did feel cleaner.  Much cleaner than if I had used regular toothpaste.  However, since it doesn't contain fluoride or any ingredient that will protect against cavities, I have to wonder what it actually does that is so special?

Obviously, the name says it, but to make it clear..... you only use Crest Weekly Clean once a week.  Why?  The box doesn't really say, and neither does the Crest website.  I know because I looked.  Why is this toothpaste so powerful that you only use it once a week?  I'd like to know.  And what is so special about it to justify the price?  Almost $ 4.00 is the normal price, and that is for a VERY SMALL tube of toothpaste.  In fact, there are only 16 uses in one tube.  I can't justify spending that kind of money when I don't really know what a product does.

Now, I have to say that I was very impressed with the taste of Crest Weekly Clean.  I was expecting a chemical taste, but it wasn't like that at all.  It was very minty, very refreshing, and the consistency was a bit gritty.  Feeling the grit mixed in with the paste gave me the impression that it was getting my teeth clean.  And they felt great when I was done brushing too.

I had a difficult time finding Crest Weekly Clean on store shelves.  I'm not sure if that is because of where I live or not, but I did eventually find it at Walmart.  It is in the same area as toothpase, but in the vicinity of the Crest White Strips.  The packaging is shiny and impressive, and looks very professional.  However, it gives a very false appearance because although the box itself is about five inches long, the tube of toothpaste is only about three inches.

Would I recommend Crest Weekly Clean?  Sure.  If you have a FREE COUPON like I did, or a substantial "dollar off" coupon.  But for the normal price, I'd recommend waiting for a really good sale.

I bought it and wasn't impressed. My teeth felt clean but not whiter and 16 uses? Not for me. Maybe 8 if that. I think it should be used weekly because there is no fluoride or maybe because it's harsh and could hurt the tooth enamel. I used mine up quickly and won't buy it again. I think I actually got a free coupon from Vocal Point and now I don't know where it is.
