I'd been seeing the commercials for Crest toothpaste with Scope Outlast. In those commercials, the man and woman brush their teeth in the morning and several hours later their breath is still as fresh as when they first brushed. I have been looking for a toothpaste that would do just that, so I went to my local wal-mart and picked up a tube.
Upon first brush, the toothpaste was very tingly but not unbearably so. It provided nice bubbles, if that's what you like. It also tasted very minty but not gross, more like a nice peppermint flavor. When finished I noticed my breath was definitely fresher, and my mouth felt cleaner - like I'd just been to the dentist.
About an hour later that happy feeling was gone. There was no more fresh breath and no more tingly feeling. I'm not exactly sure how many hours this toothpaste is supposed to last, but it definitely does not seem to "outlast" anything.
It seems to me if you want the minty fresh feeling to last all day, you'll either have to brush your teeth a couple times throughout the day, or get some mints.
