When I first decided to try Crest, I wasn't expecting much. The brand I usually use was out of stock the day I went to the supermarket so I decided to try something different. There was an offer on a pack of Crest toothpastes so I decided to give it a shot. It took a little getting used to, but it was surprisingly not that bad. The taste was a little weird the first time I tried it, but I got used to it very quickly. Now I actually enjoy the taste and I always feel very refreshed after brushing my teeth with it. I feel that the taste lasts quite a while, provided I don't eat anything right afterwards. Even after the taste fades, the clean feeling still remains for a while longer. The one thing I didn't get with this toothpaste is the super minty cool feeling, but I suppose if I had tried one specifically labeled "mint" on it, I might have experienced more of the minty feel. Even despite that, though, I still liked using it. As far as cavity protection or how the toothpaste has been helping my teeth, I can't really tell any difference from before, either positive or negative. I generally have really good dental hygiene, though, so I didn't expect to see any difference. I have now more or less made the switch to Crest and I'm pretty happy with it overall.

I picked up a tube of Crest Cavity Protection Regular Toothpaste a couple of months ago. I didn't like the taste it left in my mouth, as the mint seemed to disappear and left an almost medicinal taste.

My husband will use anything, so he started brushing twice a day with it. I asked him if he liked the toothpaste, and he told me that it was no different, than any other he had used.

I waited until he had completely finished the 6.4 ounce (181g) tube, and asked him again. He told me that it had cleaned his teeth, his breath was fresh, and that pretty much was it.

I told him that it was to help prevent cavities, and he said that his teeth were still going downhill. That is not surprising as my husband is 77 years young.

I feel that if you have good teeth to start with, and use as directed on the tube, then this may help you slightly. However, going to your dentist on a regular basis, is the only way to check and see how your teeth are doing.

His next toothpaste was on sale recently, and I also had a manufacturers coupon. Why pay full price when you don't have too.

wish I didn't buy this toothpaste

Comments about Crest Cavity Protection Toothpaste - Regular Paste:

The only good thing I have to say about this toothpaste is that it gets food particles off of my teeth. I purchased this toothpaste about a month ago and ended up buying another brand. I love most of Crest's products, but this toothpaste really missed the mark. The paste was gritty feeling and it didn't have the minty taste that I look for. The taste was bland, and tasted like old chewing gum. What little mint taste it had doesn't last long at all. It is really uncomfortable to feel like you have bad breath. I do not plan on purchasing anymore of this toothpaste and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The gritty feeling lasts longer than the mint taste and it leaves a weird feeling in your mouth. Also, as the taste wears away it tastes medicinal and bland. The toothpaste is very difficult to get out from between your toothbrush bristels. I don't generally like white toothpaste, but I can usually deal with just about anything. I will not be purchasing this toothpaste again.

Crest cavity protection

Comments about Crest Cavity Protection Toothpaste - Regular Paste:

I like this toothpaste the best because it isn't full if flavoring. It just gets the job done and that's it. I use this twice a day when brushing and I find my breath feeling fresh and my teeth feeling clean. Pair this toothpaste with regular brushing and you shouldn't ever have to worry about getting cavities.

The worst toothpaste I ever used

Comments about Crest Cavity Protection Toothpaste - Regular Paste:

This is the worst toothpaste I ever used. I started to use this brand a few days ago but only used it once. I have used the KIDS crest version for a few years and it was better than the regular one. This type of crest is the only one that caused the skin around my mouth to turn red and burn. NEVER USING THIS BRAND AGAIN.

Crest Cavity Protection Toothpaste is good basic toothpaste

By

from Mount Prospect, IL

Comments about Crest Cavity Protection Toothpaste - Regular Paste:

I have suffered from sensitive teeth my whole life and of course you see lots of brands geared towards sensitive teeth but I never really noticed a difference. I also thought it was best to get the kinds of toothpaste that have whitening or Scope or all the extras they love to add in these days. According to my dentist, the extra chemicals they put in to make the toothpaste do extra things can actually wear away your enamel and make your teeth more sensitive! I switched back to the good old basic Crest Cavity Protection and my teeth are feeling a lot better. It gets your mouth clean without harming your teeth, so there's a reason why it's a classic. I'll admit that I don't feel it keeps my teeth clean all day like my dentist thinks it does. But it's a small price to pay to have less pain! And I always preferred the taste of the classic paste over these fancy flavors anyhow.

Good product

By

Comments about Crest Cavity Protection Toothpaste - Regular Paste:

Well I don't really like the taste as I prefer strong peppermint which keeps your breath fresh afterwards but I got this free from my parents so I'm not gonna complain...much. The taste is really um bland. It doesn't really taste like anything to be honest but it's all right, because it only lasted only for a few minutes. This is an alright toothpaste I guess. I'm not sure if it's due to this toothpaste or time itself but ever since I used crest whitestrips, my teeth is extremely sensitive to the point where I get some toothache if I eat like two pieces of candies. But this toothpaste quickly takes the pain away the next day. I only wish it can take it away permanently but I'll take what I can get. So I would recommend this product if you can get it cheap/free, but otherwise, I would personally go for something else..fresh and pepperminty.

Crest Cavity Protection is a classic

By

from Cullman, AL

Comments about Crest Cavity Protection Toothpaste - Regular Paste:

Crest Cavity Protection Toothpaste is a classic go-to when it comes to toothpaste. I used it as a kid, and I loved it. It is never too harsh, and the taste is pretty good. It is not the best in terms of taste, but it has it leaves your mouth nice and mint-flavored. It is also sort of in the middle when it comes to leaving a clean feeling in your mouth. Your teeth feel clean, but not exceptionally clean like some toothpastes make my teeth feel. While some toothpastes feel like they could brush away layered-on plaque and build-up, this sort of just feels like it takes care of today's problems. However, if you use it consistently, that may be all you need. It is not whitening, and it is not supposed to be, so if you need a whitening toothpaste, you will have to find something else. This classic toothpaste though is great for preventing cavities and plaque, freshening breath, and keeping teeth clean. It is great for people with sensitive teeth and great for kids.

Crest Cavity Preotection Toothpaste is the best!

By

from Salt Lake City, UT

Comments about Crest Cavity Protection Toothpaste - Regular Paste:

First of all, I have really sensative teeth. I am picky about the toothpaste that I use. I really cannot hanlde any sort of toothpaste that has whitening agents in them. As of now, most tooth pastes are all about whiteness. This Crest basic cavity toothpaste does the best job for me. It isnt too harsh on my teeth, or on my gums. I love the fresh minty taste it has. I am not a fan of the baking soda toothpaste-ugh! This toothpaste leaves my mouth and teeth feeling clean and taken care of. I really like that the focus of this toothpaste is to fight and prevent cavitites! Because cavitites are what I am trying to avoid. I have used this toothpaste for years, and will continue to use it for years. It offeres everything I need in a toothpaste, it is affordable, fights cavitites. soft on my gums, and it has a refreshing mint flavor. I often get coupon offers in the mail for Crest toothpaste, so that is helpful too.

crest cavity protection is just basic toothpaste

By

from Denver, CO

Comments about Crest Cavity Protection Toothpaste - Regular Paste:

i'm not a super critical person. but i do like having fresh breath and feel like my mouth is really clean.

my husband and i don't have a favorite toothpaste and he's not the best at remembering which paste's we've used in the past that we liked more than others. so, when he brought this home, we didn't think anything of it and figured we'd just use it and move on, no questions asked. but after our first use, we both noticed that while, they were cleaner than before brushing, they definitely weren't as clean as they could be. i also felt like ten minutes later, we both already had breath that wasn't so fresh.

however, if you do like less flavorful toothpastes or find other varieties too strong, this might be a good option for you. in the past i've used varieties that had plus ups, like scope, which left my breath really fresh feeling, or whitening, which was a great plus up to regular toothpaste with a benefit everyone is interested. i just wish this had something else to it.
