Yes, the Sansa Clip sounds better...but for rough and tumble, versatile, 3rd World Country, no computer or 12V source around to recharge with usefullness...the Creative MoVu V100 can't be beat in my opinion. It's simple and ugly and almost perfect...if it supported playlists...it would be unmatched. Sadly Creative has quit producing these, but they can still be found here and there.
Love it because:
Takes one AAA battery, and runs forever (18 Hrs.).
Records to ".wav".
Simple LCD screen.
Usable as USB thumbdrive.
No stupid AAC or WMA or DRMA resrictions (plays MP3 & WMA).
No crippling Proprietary...
