The screen size is huge! If you want to watch movies on the go, this is the player for you. The batter life could be better, but hey, you can take the battery out and pop in a fresh one if you feel like spending the money on it. Still, it's better than the non-replaceable batteries found in most mp3 players.
Features, features, features. I know it probably doesn't have as many features as some other players might have, but it has enough for me! Built-in voice recorder and radio are awesome, although you can't record the radio, which would have been nice. There's a compact flash slot on the side which I never use, but you can buy an adapter to allow for other types of removable memory like SD, xD, etc.
The pictures are great quality, and it's nice to be able to zoom in to a full size picture, although those are you only two choices. It would be nice to be able to choose different zoom levels, but overall the feature is nice. In addition, you can take any picture on your player, and make it your background. You can even add a special effect to it like making it black and white or sepia toned, and if you choose to zoom in, you can pick whatever part of the picture you want for your background (as long as it fits in your screen).
There's also a handy little search feature. If you're looking at anything before the newest version of ipod, I don't think this feature is available. Know only part of the name of a song or part of the artist's name? Or maybe you just want to look up all of the songs that have a specific word in their title. Punch in a few letters and voila - a list of songs for your listening pleasure.
The one real downside is that the controls could be better - try before you buy. I was disappointed in seeing just a small four-way controller in the upper right hand side of the device with an enter button in the middle. It just lacks finesse and can be frustrating when you're trying to move around in the program.
