We bought this player for our oldest daughter.  I was skeptical because of the price....I got it at geeks.com for $50.  I decided that it was worth the gamble since teen agers lose interest in things so fast....I'd hate to buy her a $200 Zune to find out that she'd rather listen to her music on her... review »

I only owned a red Walkman and whenever we went to the beach or when I went for a walk with it, I felt like a complete goof.  No one owned walkman's anymore and if they did, they weren't RED.  My husband was well aware of my embarrassment, so for my birthday last year, he bought me a Creative Zen Micro...

I recently bought the micro for the daily commute to work. Until I did the firmware update, I had problems with the unit. The zen explorer software was horrible. It is also the slowest to install software I have ever installed. It also seemed to have a problem wherein it recognized track 10 as the second track rather than 10, this was fixed by the firmware update. Now the software is easy to use and has a good navigation functionality between files.
The unit didn't work well, but then I downloaded the firmware update.Works great now.I use the real rhapsody download service, and can download as many...

Hello. I normally do not write reviews on here because I can't find the time. But for this player, I just had to spread the word. I bought my Creative Zen Micro mp3 player three years back during christmas. It had 8gb and was about $160. Yes I could have bought an Ipod, 4gb for the SAME PRICE. But I thought to myself, should I copy everyone else and buy an Ipod or should I get the best deal for my money?? The Zen it was.  This player has a touchpad. No buttons but a pad that you merely touch, responding to the human touch. How cool is that?? Can a regular Ipod do that?? NOPE. I have dropped this...

I  have the 8gb creative zen mp3. Its been three years and the only things that have gone wrong for me is the fact that there are a few little scratches on the back and one little one on the screen. And I cannot complain knowing that I have dropped it on my tiled floor numerous times!! I love the touch pad and the mp3 is really easy to get used to. Best mp3 I have ever bought, because it lasts and is modern. The battery lasts long when charging it through the computer, which is not a hassle because who doesnt spend time on the computer? Just plug it in, into the USB port. I love the feature of...

I wanted an mp3 player...but didn't want an iPod.  I wanted to be different.  So I found these, and I am so glad that I did.  They come in so many cute colors, can hold tons of songs, you can listen to the RADIO, it has a recorder (very handy in college), and you can use it as a storage device for other things as well.  (I used it to print out documents from my computer in the universities computer lab all the time.)  Mine is a bit outdated now, as in it doesn't have the ability to show pictures or movies, but I don't care, it still does what I need it to do.  I love my Zenny!

I received my Creative mp3 player a couple of Christmases ago and love it.  It holds plenty of songs, which you can then organize them using the software provided with the product.  For the same amount of memory, the iPod products are usually 2-3 times more expensive.  The only downside is that you cannot purchase music from iTunes, but there are several other music sites available.  I use mine to listen to podcasts and it holds more than a week's worth of audio, so it's great to take on vacation.

 Overall, a great product.

the Creative Zen Micro 5GB MP3 Player is a great music device. it sounds very clear, large music capacity, has fm radio, long battery life, easy to use and pocket size. the biggest and only problem...it broke wayy too fast. the thing broke down after a month or two when i purchased it. i wouldnt recommend this device. even though there are many positives its not worth buying a device for around 200 dollars and it breaks down within 2 months. my ipod shuffle is still working after 4 months so if i were u get that instead.

This MP3 Player is easy for even the most non-techie person on your shopping list.  It is very easy to use and enjoy.  Holds lots of music and can be organized right on your own computer.  We purchased this item for our 10 year old who has had an incredible time enjoying her music on the go.  You can charge it three different ways - with your computer USB port, traditional wall plug, and even with your car cigarette outlet.  There are lots of colors to choose from and accessories are easy to find.

i got my first creative probably 4 years ago, a 4G model. it was cute, decently priced and overall a great player. About a year later, i noticed the zen microphoto and decided i 'needed' one. i sold off my 4G and traded up to the 8G microphoto. the screen isn't so easy to read in daylight, but it makes up for it by being able to store all my pictures.

i recommend these for all those who love the idea of an ipod but despise the ipods and the hype. the creative is a great brand-go buy one!

My Creative Zen Microphoto died after 11 months of use.  When researching on the web how to reset it, I found this appears to be a known issue with the mp3 player.  Creative will not even look at the player unless I pay $25.  I cannot talk to someone unless I had bought the extended warrenty or pay money now.  When emailing them about my dead player; they gave me some advice on how to resent it that was totally useless then suggested I buy accessories for my dead players.

I have really enjoyed my Mp3 player, it was one of the greatest gift I have recieved and listen to it all the time. I think it is a good investment for 13 and up. It is easy to use and the battery life is long as well. I can also record my husband songs on it and it is sweet dreams as I can listen to it as I nap as the ear pieces are easy to use. Doing other things during the day it is always nice to be listening to music and great for long drives as well.

This product delivers everything necessary! Alot less expensive then the IPOD everyone thinks they have to have. i would strongly reccommend this item for kids as well seems to be very strong and durable. Sound quality is very good and size is as well. Always charged and ready to go out the door when you are this is one of the nicest things for anyone who likes to listen to music when walking or working around the house even.

I was not at all pleased with this product.  I brought one for my younger brother and it broke down three times!  The screen would freeze and music would not play back. We finally just gave up on it completely.  Well that and the fact that it was no longer under warranty and they refused to fix it even though there was a history of this product causing problems.  I would definitely not recommend this product.

The creative zen micro is an okay 3 star mp3 player in my opinion. It is easy to add music or photos and you can also voice record but..... mine had some software problems, These problems were easy to fix by going to Creative's website but it gets buggy sometimes. But Creatives tech support isnt the greatest, Free for 60 days after the purchase of the product.... only 60 days..! . All in all I would say its a good buy for its price.
