I had purchased all of the scrapbooking magazines out there and Creating Keepsakes was my first and only scrapbooking magazine subscription.  I was excited and wanted to learn everything I could back then and Creating Keepsakes was definitely the best publication available.  Unfortunately, as the years passed what I found was a book chock full of advertisements.  They have some really awesome designers but no longer  dedicate enough space to the design and "how to" sections of the magazine.  The designers are why I gave them four stars rather than… read full review »

 IF you are a beginner scrap-booker or the well advanced, Creating Keepsake has it all. Many awesome layout ideas. Walks you through the layouts. The best part is that they tell you the exact company that the layout uses so you can make yours as true as true can be of the layout. I love the articles. I always find a new technique and well as so many new products. They seem to be right on top of the new products, usually showing ways to use them and where to get them. I've been scrapbooking for almost five years, and work part time at a local scrapbook store. I've also taught classes on scrapbooking techniques. I subscribe to most of the scrapbook magazines out there, and Creating Keepsakes is one of my favorites. It does have a lot of ads, but they are for good products and companies that you may not have seen yet. I love having a subscription to Creating Keepsakes! I loved this magazine when it first came out and had a subscription for a couple of years. Now I only purchase a copy if I see a lot of information or layouts that I can really use. It seems the last couple of years there are more ads and the same people doing layouts each issue.
